Who knows? It wouldn't surprise me if they release the rerecorded Opiate + video as the pre-cursor the album release rather than a single.

Is there?
edit: I mean... the visuals during the last tour had me convinced they were large portions of a completed music video, but I thought that idea got shot down. Can't remember...
... maybe it was Junior? although he may have said that he could not confirm that the visuals were a music video.

I can only speculate around what happened with the Pot video. I recall that there was some confirmation that it was recorded, but never saw the light of day. My only assumption was that it maybe didn't meet the quality standards Adam/Tool required, and hence never saw release.
The on a recent tour this happens:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfBJ0tV7J6c
To me, while it looks very Toolish, it actually seems more like a collection of ideas, rather than a more coherent video. My second guess at this point is that the existing video for the Pot was then reworked as a series of animations for use during the song live.
It'd be cool if Junior could give us some insight here (if he's allowed).

I honestly don’t remember if that footage was made for the tour or is/came from the actual “Pot” video.

Epicenter: The Cult, Judas Priest, Tool. Nice. Hard to beat.
I went for tickets in Chicago : Saturday-Meshuggah, Ghost, System of a Down. SOAD-My first time
That's a Tough line up to top on Sunday: Gojira-Prodigy?-TOOL.
At least TOOL will play Jambi and 46 & 2. Live. Again. Can't wait ;)

Well Maynard gave us a tweeter update and mid May thru mid July are the hopeful dates for the new album. Kind of sad that the US dates and European dates might not have a new album out by then, so I don’t see any new music being played. I guess it’s been so long since Europe has had a Tool tour that the last current setlist they have been playing is a good one for them, but the US dates have seen this tour, what 5 times now. Glad we got a update from Maynard. I am with Hellboy and think it’s sad that the main website has given us nothing.

My thing is they should take as long as they please to make a new album but dont make a fucking game of it. In all this time Adam couldn't be working on the artwork while all the other stuff was going on? I dunno man, I'm starting to wonder if the weight of expectations is got them a little discombobulated.

Well they have certainly taken that axiom to heart! I had held out a little hope that with all the talk about releasing new music this year, and potentially in April, we might see them at Coachella. Instead I got Ariana Grande.

Hopefully we might get a few southwest dates between May 19 and the European tour. It’s a very tight window and probably don’t expect anymore tour dates, but a boy can hope and dream :)

My buddy went to the box office in Des Moines and scored us third row tickets for face value. I scored decent tickets to Lincoln through Ticketmaster. HYPE!

I seriously doubt anyone really gets on this page considering it shut down long ago ... But I have two great seats to the Louisville show on May 8 in Section 115. Looking to trade them for similarly good seats to the St. Louis show on May 13. Thankfully I have a few other places to post, but throwing it up here as well as I know die-hards will be on here if anyone is on here.

From the last couple years it seems like either APC or Tour were touring in late fall. But that usually isnt until late october it seems.
I would expect a major fall/winter tour though.

I wonder if MJK still feels the need to be there during harvest.

Anyone else going to the Hampton show? I'll be driving down from Western PA for it.

FWIW APC toured in October 2018. I suspect Tool will do a more extensive US tour in 2019 kicking off around the same time.

Not sure I have it in me to sit through Korn. But if they handle the line-up the same as when APC played there, it would likely put Korn a different stage than Tool. Would be cool to see Chevelle too, I guess.

Also, Aftershock likely clears the path for other dates on or around the west coast. If they do play LA proper (which is never likely), I am putting money on the show being at Banc of CA Stadium. Seems like the hot new venue around here.

Don't know much about Aftershock, but do they have a side by side A & B stage type setup? Or multiple single stages around the venue?
Gojira are the band you guys should be checking out that day.

It's a pretty cool setup but not side by side. The 2 stages are separate, maybe 90 degrees opposite of each other but it's pretty easy to get back and forth from.
It's a solid fest overall, I went the year the Tool and Primus were there and give it a thumbs up.

More importantly, this signals the first West Coast dates of the tour and certainly the beginning of more. I'm hoping the Radius Clause wont prohibit a show in SF at the new arena. (I strongly suspect it wont)

Man I hate this new trend of paying for a show 6-8 months on advance. (Well not really new.)
