only person in the world that prefers the studio ver.?
Am I the only person in the world that doesn't like the live version as much? Granted Pushit is the 2nd best song ever made (only to Third Eye...which I prefer the live version of like most people) but the live version while more emotional just doesn't do it for me. I think the studio track is just as moving as many feel the live version is but it just seems more polished and I like the fact that it is a little harder. Maybe its because I heard the studio version first and maybe that I got a certain idea in my head about what the song was and what it did for me and the live version is just differenet than that. I don't think that that is it though because I'm sure everybody heard the studio version first.
This same thing didn't happen with Third Eye though because as soon as I heard the live version I thought it was instantly superior. If I had to rate the 4 versions of my favorite 2 songs ever (by ANY band mind you...so I'm not just a casual tool fan) I'd have to say Third Eye (live), Pushit, Third Eye, Pushit (live). I don't know why I am so different. Does anybody else share the same opinion as me? Today I even pondered if 46+2 was better than Pushit (live). I know I'm different. Why!?!

Because music taste is subjective. Everyone has different "favorite song" and what not. It's pefectly normal. That being said, it would be very hard for me to choose which one is the better of the two, I like them both, each doing something differently for me.

I like the Aenima version better too. The live version... I only like Adam's playing in the beginning. The song seems like Maynard's trying too hard to make a perfect song even more emotional and just cheapens it.

You know a lot of people say that maynard cant do live what he does on the album.
I've never been to a tool concert, but I've seen APC live 3 times and he's absolutely flawless.
