that rosetta stoned video was the stupidest thing i've ever seen
it has no connection to the song, it rips off earlier tool videos style (prison sex, sober), and just overall lacks anything interesting or remotely intriguing. it's a good attempt at capturing tools OLD video style, but it falls flat on it's face in capturing any feeling from the song
why do any of you have any question that it's fake? it's so ridiculously boring and drawn out and has no freakin point. I FOUGHT TO WATCH IT and when it was done, i felt like the song was actually being mocked with that stupid shit. that was pure disrespect for the song.

All right, what exactly is going on. I've heard (for over a month now) that Alex Grey is working on some project in an undisclosed location. What's taking so long, part of having a new TOOL album is having a video or two to accompany it. I know that probably what is yet to be released will the the shit like those TV commercials. Billboard posted all this info after they debuted at #1 the first week and since then we've heard nothing. Does Kabir know anything? Anyway if anyone has any dates or more details....please be a pal and post it.

What happened to my post in this thread pointing out that the visuals from the supposed Vicarious / Rosetta Stoned video were some old animations from the Quay Brothers? Why would this be worthy of deletion? Just wondering. It's such a rare thing that I have some actually useful information in my posts..
There is a short video interview on German MTV in which Adam says that they have
switched to a different CGI house. I am assuming they were unhappy with the work of the original and that is why the video is delayed.
My guess is that they are in final post-production CGI right now and it should be released this July.

blair mentioned adam working on the new tool video on a number of occasions a while ago but where the fuck is it? seems fairly odd to talk about the new video then after the album comes out theres not a word about it.

Maybe they decided that since it leaked out and everybody who wants to already can see it, they would cut MTV out of getting paid for it . . ?

i thought blair said they finsihed both videos, or at least started on the second on already a while back. if anything they are both done and ready, they are just holding back. i assume until they get back to the US

Just watched the interview on youtube, that sucks man, adam looked all out of sorts when she asked him about the video. Also, they need to screen interviewers whenever it's time to talk to tool.

The website will be updated when finances are made available to direct into the project - money is currently tied up with recording.
The band funds promotions/videos etc. for itself only using the ‘label’ for distribution of the album/cd.
So maybe the website will be updated when the video is done? I dont know. I know no one probably really cares about the site. Maybe its already been discussed. Sorry if it has.
