hmmmm, it kinda might make sense to debut wings on the first Staples gig and then Vicarious video on the second night. But for that to make real sense they would have to skip wings for the second night - so that the balance of people being pissed because they missed one of the debuts was even....
Nah, actually, I don't think they will play the Vicarious video tonight. It doesn't appear that they are using projection screens that would present a good showing of a video. It seems that the projections this time are more a part of the lighting - I think a proper music video would be lost in this format.
Ugh, i dont know about the rest of you, but im beginning to feel like this is something that isnt gonna happen until Tool either takes a big break from their tour. Or they just finish this tour completely. A "groan of tedium" indeed...
I keep my fingers cross that today... tomorrow... the day after that we will hear something. But the longer the wait, the more im hoping for some kind of DVD release with some Live goodies maybe.... but that i really doubt.
Enough of this, thinking about it just makes me want to cry.

I feel bad like ive been hoarding it all this time. I didnt even know there were so many die-hard Tool fans that wanted to see this video and haven't. You, sitting in that chair, reading your screen, yeah you are undoublty one of these fans. Here is the video yall have been anticipating. I first saw it on my 21st birthday, June 25.

I was totally going to leave ya'll with just that, but Im generally a nice guy and I really have been hoarding it. So Ive decided that against my own principals, I will do the research for you. So here is the full-screen version of the video. Please, do me the favor, since I brought it to ya'll first, take a look at myspace (I could have much easier just kept hoarding it).
Have you ever thought about just pawning your Television, and buying a projector for your computer? You could watch dvds, play PC games, plug in the Xbox/Playstation, watch Google Videos, news videos, sit farther away from your screen, and make the screen any size you wanted.
I (Eye) off the TV.
I think from these to 2 post alone, I should be an honorary Level 5 here. Anyone agree? If not, oh well, it wont stop me from thinking deep.
Okay so honorary Level 5 was a stretch, and I just finished reading this whole thread. But I gotta say the transitions, overlays, and images used are quite believable. If it was proven to be a fake, I am gonna need some sources. And even more credible sources for the speculation that it was not realesed. Cuz I cant handle not being able to see the video, and having the tickets to the only concert postponed on thier US tour.

The video is supposd to be cgi and the reason it was delayed is because they had to switch cgi company's in the middle of it. That Video has no CGI. Thats the most sensible reason I can provide.
Yeah the chick in leather is kinda convincing. I wonder where the creator got that shit. That was pretty dope when she got all fat. A+ effort in my opinion.

It's an alright fan video. The transitions and such are pretty amateurish, but it's better than some other stuff I've seen.
Not the official video, though. I have a feeling the band would've said something.
ETA: BTW, and I found this kind of humourous myself, one way of knowing that this is a fake/fan video is that they ripped off a couple of Aphex Twin videos (not to mention endless stock footage and other music videos.) I have a feeling that Adam is a wee bit more creative than that.

They'll make you buy it to seperate the real fans from the posers. It'll just be the one video, sold in a digi-pak for 8.95 USD. It will be sold via the internet, and the only way to get the address is to solve the puzzle presented to you in the stereoscopic pictures.
I had a dream last night and the TooL gods told me the Vicarious video will be released on October 13, 2006. So get ready folks, the date stands and the video was amazing!!! Kind psychadelic, funkadelic, and it'll give you a fever!!! No doubt.

My girlfriend had a dream that Tool would be playing live in NZ about that time next year. 25th of Sept or Oct, she can't quite remember...
Yesterday I had extremely long and often moments of deja vu. Haven't had that in a while. Felt like I had dreamt it all before....
I can't imagine what this video will look like. How would the Alex Grey style and psychedelic visuals fit with this song?
Their videos in the past have always been divided to the obvious song meaning.
Has there been any word on whether it's stop-motion yet?, or anything absolutely new... Are there Alex Grey designs involved like the end of porabola??

The thing crawling outta the tv is from Aphex Twin's "Come To Daddy" video.

I heard Alex Grey speak back on 4/20 and he said that he was hard at work on the video and to expect something like you had never seen before. Well that was 5 months ago and I'm still waiting to be amazed.
