Personally I'd stick with 119, but I like to be as close to the stage as possible. You'd probably have a better view of the stage setup and projections under the band from 119. 104 might have better audio but it should be negligible. 104 would probably also have a better view of the laser show, but 119 should be fine for that too.

I would think December 11th would be the 2nd night, because Nokia doesn't have anything scheduled for the 11th.
I'm quite unhappy about no Bay Area date...I'm not sure why San Francisco has been so neglected over the last 2 years. A couple 2006 shows in Oakland, and that's it. Nothing in San Francisco or Sacramento.

Think positive, they might end the tour in northern Cali.... Who knows, they might even play Anchorage...
Now, at first I really liked my seat better (since it's at a closer distance and the angle isnt too skewed). My buddy liked his ticket too, but he said he would easily trade me if I wanted the section 104 ticket. At first I said no, but now Im not so sure. True the section 119 ticket is closer, but the viewing angle from section 104 is better. Plus, the section 104 ticket is row 7 which is much closer than row 24 for the section 119 ticket.

Personally I would keep your ticket. You stil have a good viewing angle but you are higher up in rows which with my experience with the 10k days tour is better because you can enjoy the entire show because of the way the stage is set up.
Actually I say just be happy you got a ticket I know I am.

I well I hate to keep it unanimous but I would also stick with your 119 seats. The lazer show is still ridiculously great from the side or semi side angles, your closer to the stage, and I would agree with an earlier post about the audio maybe being better from section 104, however, I would keep your tickets. If its too much of a toss up for you just flip a coin and go with that.

Sonny Boy, do you think I would have a good shot of getting good tickets online??? Sorry, never really said what show I was talking about. The LA show has to sell out FAST.

Agreed. I think they'll come and play a show in Bakersfield/Fresno, Sac, and then SF/OAK to end the tour or up to Alaska. The central valley and us haven't got a wings show, and they seem to be doubling up shows they previously hadn't played it at. It also seems like a logical place to embark to Australia or Japan because of the large overseas transportation here. I can't imagine the logistics in carrying thier stage set up around. Bets on they actually have to rent out a Fed-Ex MD-11 or a cargo contanier? haha
AND...Blair said "Some More Dates" not "THE REST" and you know he would probably do that ;)

Best guess for this one is to do the phone route. Tickets will sell quick and this is a smaller venue. For the smaller venue shows I attended, I had better success calling in.
If you go the online route, be patient. VERY patient. It's amazing to me how many good seats get released back into the queue even an hour later after the on-sale time. But if you bring up seats, grab em! I made a mistake recently when I went to buy Stevie Wonder tickets. I bought up ok seats but thought I could release them and maybe score better. I was wrong and missed the show. :(
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Yes, I will be coming out for sure. I was really wanting to come to the last LA show but I do not know if they will release a second show so I am going to go ahead and try to snatch up some tickets this weekend, just to be safe.

Except that those two Nokia shows were listed on Ticketmaster before the postponement. I don't think Nokia has a seperate online area for ticket purchasing outside TM.
Also, I am not sure, but I think the Nokia box office is actually the Staples Center box office. I am going to try and find out today what's going on.

It looks to me like this time the E Center's going to be GA for Tool...is that right?
Yeah it is GA on the Floor...I was there 5 hours early before tickets went on sale and got three! Will be my 6th show. BTW, I was there when they recorded pushit on the salival album. Unforgetable! Also, note to all Salt lake fans- last time they were here maynard flashed the horns sign with his hand to the crowd and most everyone did it back, to which he replied by baahing like a sheep at the crowd. So if he does this again, flip him off to show him that we are not all sheep here and can think for ourselves!

You really still thinkin about comin out?
I agree. Tool sells out small venues fast. I got tickets for the Everett, WA show but I had to call because the server was overloaded and couldn't even get through online. Good thing Me and a few other people called.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
I just checked Ticketmaster regarding the L.A. show. Wouldn't you know it...the second Dec. 11th date is showing up again! No on-sale date specified, but this should be good news for when the first show sells out. Thanks again Ticketmaster for screwing up.

They are both going to sell out quickly. Still trying to get my ducks in a row to get down to the box office early. Farkin sad that TM allows it's security to be so easily overcome by programs that can lock others out and snap up all the seats. They are a billion dollar company and should be able to invest in IT and security to stop that from happening rather than waiting for some judge to step in and slap these asshole scalpers on the wrist.

Nice to see someone else with taste around here. Yeah Yeah Yeahs kick ass!
I had heard Mars Volta was slotted for this a while back. I am going with them as my guess. They're not doing anything now afaik and appear to have no problem with the opening slot for bigger acts (Metallica, RHCP, and Perfect Circle to name three)

I heard that rumor too, but I'm not holding my breath. Believe me though, if I could pick one band, it would be TMV.
From what I've read, right now Omar is busy in El Paso filming a movie with several other band members. Plus, The Bedlam in Goliath (new CD) has been delayed until Jan. TMV is rumored to do a warm up tour in S. America in December before launching a full scale headlining tour in Jan.
...either way, I can't wait to see both Tool and TMV!
