that's what was so confusing when Doom3 came out. there was a vague rumor going around that TOOL had done part of the soundtrack and then *this* track dropped.

it's got all of the elements of TOOL -- the drumming sounds very similar to Danny's work on Reflection/Lateralus, there is the hushed whispering/chanting that Maynard is so famous for, it's got a bassline that has Justin written all over it, and the guitar sound is pound-for-pound good enough that Adam could've done it.

However, Tweaker claims it and TOOL has never contested it, so that about wraps that up.

The funny things is that this track is used on the DOOM 3 title screen and is TOTALLY out of place.

Does anyone know where i can find that song btw? I thought that was really funny

JJJ played Schism for the first time in Australia, I remember listen to that. JJJ are normally pretty good to Tool, but they've really changed in the last few years to be more hip-hop electronic so it wouldn't surprise me if Tool are considered too old or heavy for airtime other tha during Three Hours of Power or whatever the metal show is called now.

I don't listen to them, but I could only see JJJ as the only station that'd play it.

in case no one else has succesfully downloaded the "leak" yet... i just did, had to go through the process of decompressing the .flac files to .wav... waste of time... fake.

There's a new Aphex Twin release but its only about 11 of 30 something new tracks he did the past couple years. The remaining 20 are all on vinyl.

Why did you bother decompress it? just get a FLAC player
