Personally, it wouldn't be that hard to fake the staples on the side, simply scan a booklet in photoshop and then cut and paste the shadow/staples from that to the side of whatever fake image you want, and then viola.
however, the little fold/bend near the bottom would be hard to pull of. Notice that not only does the bottom of the square look warped, you can actually see the fold go up into the picture a little bit. That says to me that it's probably not a fake.
I don't see anyone printing off a fake album booklet just to post it online.. but tool fans are freaking crazy, so who knows?
At any rate, I think it fits tool. This was supposed to be a new experience people, so yeah the art, tracks, etc. are going to be different, but I'm sure in the long run everyone will learn to like it. People have to understand that this isn't Opiate, Undertow, AEnima, or Lateralus, but it is it's own entity, so if all this info is official, then I'm pumped, if not, then I'll be a little ticked at Blair for jerking us around again.
