Just wanted to point out that I'm down with the theory (don't remember who first posted it) that xmdays is the title of the soon to be released dvd. It all makes sense with the Lateralus tour backdrop as the cover and the tour must've felt like 10,000 days to the band... so why would 10,000 days be on the new tracklisting? After reading the March newsletter with the rearranging of Rosetta Stoned, I began thinking that the track listing that was released was a bunch of jumbled up letters. After rearranging the letters I came up with the following:
Iris Vacuo
Jibam
Pi (Waters Forming)
Unsteady Ponds (Tath)
Topeth
Conjuring Plain
Befallen Sky (Mash of Tom)
Rotated Stones
IntoSine
Throwing It
Revisiting It
Just a thought. I also did a quick research on the titles I came up with and they seemed like likely toolish topics. As for the album title... do idea. Any thoughts? Also, i haven't ruled out aldaraia.

If it was footage from the Lateralus and Ænima tours, I could see that. Considering between the four members, they have spent somewhere in the vicinity of 10,000 days as a band. (This is since Justin joined, Paul-time not counted).
As for your track listings, god damn.

Looks like you've found something very unique.
however, I still like "vicarious" so maybe that will be the only one not unscrambled

i love the definition for tath..."Dung, or droppings of cattle."
quite an interesting song if this turns out to be real

great observation. But wouldn't this mean the release wouldn't be the new album, but the live DVD? And the tracklisting would be the names of the songs on the new album that has a yet to be announced title? Hmmmm

I haven't been really paying much attention to the conspiracy stuff lately, cause it got boring, but I must say this is pretty cool. I didn't really read the latest newsletter, so I didn't pick up on the Rosetta Stoned anagram. This tracklisting is cooler than the 'official' one. I hope you're right.
Maybe the songs with the parenthases have something different to them, like intro tracks (EBA, Intermission, Parabol) to them. The only official source to say how many tracks the album has is Toolband, and they could very well have combined the intro/interludes with the song they go with to come up with 11 tracks, when in reality theres 14.

it's a good theory but you said yourself that the letters are scrambled so you could be incorrect with some of the titles.

But I'm doubtfull that the tracklisting isn't real, I'm already convinced that the single name is Vicarious, it's everywhere and the release is pretty soon. Anyway, who knows...

Pi (Waters Forming)
Unsteady Ponds (Tath)
Topeth
Conjuring Plain
Befallen Sky (Mash of Tom)
Rotated Stones
IntoSine
Throwing It
Revisiting It
Just a thought. I also did a quick research on the titles I came up with and they seemed like likely toolish topics. As for the album title... do idea. Any thoughts? Also, i haven't ruled out aldaraia.

Honestly I think Jibam and Unsteady Ponds sounds worse than the titles already confirmed *sigh*

Just trying to keep myself busy... I am positive that... xmdays is the dvd, the "new" art will be based on cymatics and Roger Bacon is the key.

Good job on the theories though, I was pretty sure xmdays would be the dvd but lately it seems things are NOT going to change for the better. Where do you get the theory about Roger Bacon?

I'm just gonna go ahead and say that we have been given at least two major clues to think the given tracklist is real. In the Guitar World interview Adam quotes a lyric from The Pot as being "Who are you to point your finger?" or something akin to that. The pot calling the kettle black...............
Then in the Rip It Up interview they mention Maynard doing some Lipan Apache chanting. They spelled it wrong in the magazine I think, but we have heard from two sources that aside from this interview that Maynard does some Native American chanting. The song that they talk about in the interview has a real chant that these Apache use when caling spirits. Conjuring them up if you will.........

"Jibam"? Sounds like a Steve Vai song.

No, that song is named 10001110101. It creeps my friends out when I sing that part of the chorus.
But this is the actual tracklising. I can't believe you solved it.
By the way, the title of the album isn't Ten Thousand Days, it's...
Astounded Shanty
Edit: Rosetta Stoned isn't Rotated Stones, the actual name is Tornado Testes.
