"You...
You believed ...
You believed in movements none could see.
You believed in me."

You get the idea God is involved when he says "you believed in movements none could see." but do you pay Tool that much credit? I know i've raised them before, i don't mean to, but like in the song Karma Police, do you think an invisible force is shaping the world out there? Are we overlooking God's presence in the atomic world we're altering out there?

"despite the lachrymose poetry, this was not the true message
that Vincent was trying to impart to his readers" - BMB

"part of" (44&2) believed in "me" (46&2)

"44&2 is broken now but faith can heal you
just do everything 46&2 tells you to do..."
"it's time for 44&2 to make a sac-ri-fice
it's time to (ego) die a little, give it up!"

Q: huh?
A: christ-like ("now he's, he's become christ-like ...and the memories, just, keep coming" - david cross, vicarious commentary ..."which uhh ...manages to make an appearance in every tool video ever")

synonym: 46&2/harmonic
a passionate spirit (alive!), a light in your eyes (i!), boundless and open (omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent), uncompromised (unconditional one, without condition/judgement)...

antonym: 44&2/disharmonic
"so crucify the ego, before it's far too late! to leave behind this place so negative and blind and cynical, and you will come to find that we are all one mind*, and capable of all that's imagined and all conceivable. just let the light touch you and let the words spill through and let them pass right through bringing out our hope (question) and reason (authority) ... before we pine away (think for yourself)."

* "i sold my soul to make a record, dipshits, and 44&2 bought 46&2"

compare tool's "you believed in moments none could see" and "i need to watch things die" to a perfect circle's "oh WELL, apparently nothing ...you don't see me at all"

"OH WELL"?!
speaking of which, have you read the following article by BMB?
http://www.toolarmy.com/toolband/lac...chrymology.php

"the WELL, that once gave life to me,
hath in the drought of love run dry.
the desert's soul hath stole all joy,
and taught the very muse to die.
yet from this cause of vast lament
run tears - suffice all thirsts to quench:
tears wept from secret pleasure's eye."
- andrew d. chumbley

an excerpt:

"It should be evident by now that I don't think Vincent's The Joyful Guide to Lachrymology has anything to do with the evolution of one's self through crying as therapy. As valid as a form of psychotherapy that Lachcrymology may be with regards to inner advancement and psychological development by learning to deal with any emotional and physical pain that has been inflicted upon one's self, despite the lachrymose poetry, this was not the true message that Vincent was trying to impart to his readers. The tears themselves are NOT those shed by the lachryrmal glands via the eyes, but are the tears SECRETED by one's third eye (i.e. the pineal gland). Therefore, rather than a psychotherapeutic process as described, it is in reality something wholly different. This is why in the very first sentence of the book Vincent asks his readers to "Let not my tears fall unnoticed." Although sentences in the guide or manual such as "if raw onion chemistry is responsible for those tears, place a lighted candle nearby, for no worthy lachrymist uses a hamburger garnish to experience that blissful place" might indicate otherwise, there are too many cryptic allusions to things of an occult nature for the truly discerning reader to believe that the pseudo-diary is anything but that: occult. Mere foolishness to men, it is "the wisdom of God" or so Crowley might say: The Hidden Light."

"a message of HOPE for those who choose to hear it,
and a WARNING for those who do not"... #lachrymoseprose

now, go back to "sweat" and rediscover TOOL
"from a different angle, under a different light,
so we can hopefully kind of see it almost for the first time"

lachrymology (think for yourself) "crying":
weep in shades of indigo (question) "why oh why?!"
shed without a reason (authority) "hands to the sky"

continued...

"Veiled behind the lachrymose prose, in the (paradoxical) onslaught of colors from Vincent's tenebrant flame, is a secret formula of magical initiation. With the depressions of spirit and melancholy tone of the work, the author reveals himself to be the 'Holy Fool', complete with his crocodile tears (again, the pun is intended here - see Tarot trump Atu 0 for the corresponding symbolism, that which has been 'Set' in place)." - BMB "Let Not My Tears Fall Unnoticed"

"on my back and tumbling
down that hole and back again. rising up
and wiping the webs and the dew
from my withered eye." - mjk ( third eye)

Interesting perspective (Vincent?) I realize the lyric has Maynard being Christ-like, I only pose the question as to whether you have such 'faith'? I personally can't fathom the thought of there being some kind of destiny without a God's presence controlling it. I paint the picture of there being a karmic force adjusting the masses, just to display how such a miracle could take place. But couldn't we all place such reverence on our mothers? I guess you have to question whether Maynard's provided enough evidence, did his mother lead him to find/guide the One?

ya gotta find the link i provided^ (re: vincent)

you're thinking of this song from your perspective. very understandable.
but when maynard suggests the true-to-the-atomic-world "evidence"(!!!)
of judith marie's winged divinity, he then follows with: "unconditional one"

mull this "one" over... STOP! look at me. -_- really. think. about. "this".

now. this is a song for her. a song devoted to her. tribute to a fallen angel.
think about this song as if it were written not for (or even by!) "another".

when you are "one" (46&2) ...there is no "other" (44&2)

consider, from pushit:

"take care not to make ONE enter,
'cause if i do we TWO may disappear."

from rage against the machine's "MARIA" (wink fucking wink!)

i am nothing, no one, nobody, no more! (46&2)

these are her mountains and skies and she radiates
and through history's rivers of blood she regenerates
and like tha sun disappears only to reappear
maria... she's eternally here, her time is near...
never conquered but here! (to tear away at the 44&2!)

I truly believe that everything that we do and everyone that we meet is put in our path for a purpose.
