I agree with you 150 percent. Good luck to you . I hope everything works out for you . That is selling under false pretense in my opinion . They should move the first purchases to the front and then sell the back seats .
Which is why I'd rather go back to where only the venue sold tickets.

Thats a good attitude . The closest I have ever been was 2002 Lateralus in charlotte row 2 to the left of the stage . But I have to say the farther back is a better view of the show . After all you cant see the band members that well even if you are on the front row . So why not see the visuals and maybe have better sound ?
Definitely. Sound and a centered view of the visuals sometimes trumps seeing the band members up close. Thankfully tool is a band that rewards being further away.
This morning I pulled two pairs of tickets in 102 and 127 for the IZOD show, but when I heard that it would be a full arena show I called to see if I could switch tickets for better ones. It only took 5 minutes and I got two pairs on the floor section 2 and 3.
Sidenote: even the guys at TM have no idea what the actual seating chart looks like. He said it was still in transition....
Anyone else have luck now that there are more tickets available?
bold prediction: the grudge makes its triumphant return as set opener. i hope to look back at this post in 5 weeks and say i was right. probably not, but hey, i think everyone would be pleased if it did

Sec 102 seems like it would be the best choice, right? How do you think the sound will be in that area? Does anyone think the view may be obstructed by being so close?

scratch 116 off.
the other 2 are both excellent options, either way.
you wont be "too close"...and it isnt a direct side view seat, meaning you should be able to see everything going on perfectly.

i disagree with 102. you'll have a good view of justin. if watching the band is your goal, i'd say 102.. but you need to be a little set back to watch the production, i think.

fair point.
i like 102 because it's close, but you're on an elevated seating platform (not floors) so you get a GREAT view of the stage.
summersea is right though, being further back is better for a central view of the lighting/production/lasers/etc.

My sister swears she heard something on the local rock station in okc about having tool tickets to give away a few weeks ago. I dismissed it then completely an said no way theyre not even touring. So really hoping its okc show I did a little investigating and Tulsa Wichita and kc arenas are already booked for other things the 21st but the Chesapeake arena is open in okc

Dude but the garden sucks. I think i'm heading to CT. It's about the same distance from here.
Edit: Does the garden suck for concerts? I have a friend who says it does but would love some other opinions. Everyone on Fourtheye is saying the mohegan sun arena is sick.
I have seen Tool are the Garden before and had no problem with it . . .
The Garden is notorious for holding back seats. There have been many times where a week before a "sold out show" great tickets are available . . .
I don't think the venue intentionally holds them back on their own. A lot of the good seats that sometimes become available were originally intended for the band, promoters, media etc. If those people don't claim them, might as well sell them.
