Fucking whatever. Not gonna make an album, at least we'll get this. They're clearly just going to play their island setlist from 2011 but that means 3rd eye and Intolerance so I will go. I will go and I will fucking love it.
they always do this when I have exams. Goddammit i am going to fail classical mechanics tomorrow because of this. And then the fucking camden show goes on sale during my advanced math exam. How will I be able to concentrate?

Come now, tickets don't even go on sale until Friday. Surely it isn't that distracting...
Really would love a New York show...Camden and Connecticut doesnt cut it. I have been going to tool shows for 10 years and have yet to see them at the garden...would love it.
I never in a million years thought little shitty London Ontario, my home until two years ago, would see Tool grace its stage let alone have anyone talk about it on TDN. I used to pray to God as a highschooler for them to come through on the Lateralus tour, even the XM days tour and nothing. I leave and there they are. Twist that knife ya bunch of fucking assholes. Now get the hell to DC or I'll kill you.
Wow thats crazy! I lived in London Ontario for a year in 2009. They get some surprising music going through that city on occasion but the music scene kinda sucked while I lived there
i will see you guys at the gwinnett arena! ... well, i hope.

not going to ohio to see them. if they add a chicago show i'll probably most definitely go. i don't understand why they are doing this winter tour thing without finishing writing and recording the new album.

Tool emerged as a California band with its first studio album Undertow in 1993 and later released of their second effort, AEnima in 1996. Lateralus followed in 2001 with 2006's 10,000 Days helping Tool breakthrough.

they may have already done it and are just keeping it super hush-hush. then they'll do another guerilla press listening tour before anyone knows the title or tracklist. this tour is probably just a warm-up for the real tour which will happen around the same time next year.

Virtually no chance the album has already been recorded.
why say? they've been working on it for a decade. 10k days was a decoy.

Are they going to release more tour dates or just keep everyone in the dark. Be reticent about album news and shit but fuck off with staying mum about your tour.
I really really hope ticketmaster and all their ticket broker filandering fucking bullshit doesn't fuck all the real fans out of getting Floor/GA tickets.
*crosses fingerssssss*
the Toronto crew should do a Tool show pre-drink at Real Sports.

I've never been in the pit/floor for Tool. Hopefully this will be concert I get pit tickets.
I'm the opposite, I've seen them 5 times and always had floor/GA
I'm not one to really jump in the moshpit, but I like knowing that it's there, it just seems wrong to see Tool and not have the option of moving around. While seats are nice IF you get a good seat, they are kind of shit when you are rocking out a bit too much for the people around you (especially if they are of the arms cross/chin stroking pedigree)
Floor/GA is the best. Occasionally you run into the pit, get battered around and then come back to stand with your friends. That's what happened when I saw NIN and they played Burn.
Most people tend to stand at Tool shows anyway, so I've never seen the point of getting a seat by choice. At least in GA you have room to move. At a seat you just have the small gap between your seat and the next one to squeeze in, and you don't get the chance to move if the person next to you is an asshole.
