@ddaddy - I have no idea where my seats are for NOLA. jwb from these forums got the tickets for me and thedude420. I have a feeling the seats are somewhere inside the venue though :)
I certainly hope so lol. thats quite a freakin trip to take to listen from the outside lol.
sounds awesome... another guy i know said one of the best tool shows he's ever seen was in new orleans so im pretty pumped. Im also glad this is the first show on the tour so i can't peak at the setlist lol... im never able to control myself but this way it'll be a total suprise.
2 of the absolute best Tool shows on the list in my sig were in Nawlins. (1 and 3 respectively)
anybody going to check out the French Quarter must visit The Dungeon on Toulouse St.
"Yeah Tool is fucking amazing. But there’s a big chunk of their fan base that think they’ve become thought provoking geniuses just from listening to them."

agreed. although it depends on how West he is talking about. I might even stay in Golden - right around the corner.
right. that's what i was thinking. fare shouldn't be that much from there. and i have never gotten stuck in 'rush hour' headed to red rocks from golden. $20 should probably do it. see if you can get a couple people to share the ride.
edit: i'd probably listen to taxicabgod for cab advice?

For those attending either/both Red Rocks shows:
I could probably provide some rides from some people. I've got a seven seat jeep and I will be coming up from Albuquerque on Monday morning (6/28/10). I will be leaving Denver to go back to abq sometime between the time after the show ends until dawn. i can provide some rides to the venue from the southern portion of the metro area as well. pm me if you are interested.
also... yet another fucking reason to hate politics.
the G20 Summit is being hosted in downtown Toronto on June 24-27th. Because I'm in the security industry I'm already hearing that it may be difficult to get time off for that month.
Violent protesters can burn down the city for all I care. Nothing is getting in the way of my Tool'ing.
haha, isnt gay pride that week too? should be an interesting scene on the streets of TO.
(and sure thing, ddaddy.. good luck in your search)

thanks! i really appreciate that... i'll be sure to let them know that canadian chicks are involved lol. if it becomes available that is.... dude that is a long way to travel... thats kinda awesome. the farthest ive traveled to see them is about 5 hours lol... this new orleans trip is gonna be about 4... im at the other end of the state.
i figure you dont really need an excuse to go to new orleans, but if you did - a tool show would about top the list. that and i just got a huge cash pay out from the pension of a job i worked at for 3 years, i might as well squander it.

(as you know) Tool has 4.5, they don't need a fancy algorithm to choose the songs...
This is true. LaBrie is struggling to hit the high notes these days too, so it seems that their catalog is dwindling. On the last live recording of Pull Me Under he was struggling.
the person did ask if there were any "good" bars not for a list of every single one in the area.

yea yea, google, bla bla. just wanted to know what real humans that like (obsess) the same band as me would hang out. shit maybe we could even meet up and interact in person???
i guess if it was weird we could like sit across the bar and use our robot phones to reply in this thread to each other...
Please don't associate "coors" or "bud" with the term beer.
It gives a bad rap to the many REAL beers that exist.
Well let's see Coors is owned by Molsen (ever heard of them? :)
and at the brewery they offer Blue Moon and while it's not my favorite, it is a quality beer.
PS the Coors tour is bunk, they changed most of it and don't have docents there to take you around (budget) which means the cool stuff is now off limits.
Park in the remote lot, get your wrist band at the front desk, then ask for the giftshop rather then the tour. From there, you can go into the bar and get your free beers without doing the tour.

Tell them The Embryo sent ya!
Embryo, we've finally found something to disagree on.
