Oh shit!! That really sucks !! I wonder if it was the same malfunction that occured in Dallas?? Guess its time for AJ to invest in a new silverburst(if that is indeed the problem?)

I wasnt saying he should switch to a different BRAND OF GUITAR simply to another Gibson silverburst he has more than one. Why would anyone ever suggest he should switch to a different type of guitar ? Thats one way he gets "his sound" is by using a gibson les paul. Which is a deep low end sound he couldnt replicate using a different guitar. The one he is touring with may be defected (MAYBE).

yeah, i wasnt trying to be mean *damn sarcasm meter fail* but yeah he has like 5 i think. i just love his guitars, almost as JC's basses. so i get defensive :P

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion
Hmm. Remember the good ol' days of '07 when they'd randomly bust out a cover of a certain Kids in the Hall tune, one that was relevant to the region they were playing in no less? Ok, I'm mostly kidding around here. Not gonna join the Ceaseless Bitchers Brigade.
Oh, total fucking ditto to what Illuminus was saying about both Justin and junior.

hey summersea, I think you should post a review for the atlanta show based on that phone call!
technically, you still heard them "live"
i'm surprised you could make out the songs that clearly. I guess it helped I was further away to the side and not directly in front of any speakers. Were you actually able to follow Flood the entire time?

Sorry to hear about your poster mishap tonight- that sucks!
Yeah its kinda irrelevant in this thread, but I understand why you posted that here, this is easily the busiest thread on the forums most the time.
Anyway, I for one can actually see Tool doing this. Seems even more likely since Junior mentioned in the old live discussion thread about using some lights from the Iron Man 2 production. Probably totally unrelated, but usually I don't believe in coincidences.
Junior a quick question if I may....what happened to the lasers in the Septogram in the backdrop?? I had good side seats and noticed a green laser back there, but looks like you couldn't get any smoke to show it more visibly?? Other than that spot on show as usual you and the boys did a damn fine job tonight in my book, if you want I have a place to stay in Augusta if you all need a good meal on the way to Charlotte!!!

i was actually really surprized how well i could hear over the phone. rosetta was pretty clear. about halfway through the intro to flood it sounded like you put the phone inside a plastic bag and started to suffocate it. once the vocals kicked it i could hear everything, though. can't wait to feel that intro course its way through me. let me know if you wanna repeat peformance the next setlists, eh? eh!

Cool thanks for the reply Junior. AJ must be really frustrated being the perfectionist he is having two malfunctions(uncontrollable i'm sure) back to back nights since they(TOOL) rarely have any mishaps (uncontrolled or human errors) Hope he has better luck with the equipment on the rest of the tour!

pretty sure that was only at 2 shows in Canada.
I was at one, played it before Flood, I was completely bewildered by it.
Junior: Have you heard anything about those new lights from Iron Man 2? If you get them before this short "tour" is over, will they make that much of a difference?....I mean...its already maximum sensory overload when it comes to the visuals - does this psychedelic upside-down cake need yet another layer of eye-frosting slathered and lathered on its hearty foundation? (Junior, have you ever considered a job as a visionary cake decorator?)
BTW all, meet me at the Ramada Inn - Fairfax, VA for half-price ice cream belly rubs in the lobby before and after the show. I've got gub'MINT chip for all you ghetto-urbanite types - and chocolate chip WOOKIE dough for all those noob-hippy TOOL fans who saw em at Bonaroo and had their faces melted off.
mmmmmmmmmm all this talk about deserts....I'm gonna have to huff down a few bear-claws before I get my day started.......

yeah i remember that.
at the second hamilton (toronto) show in the 2007 summer tour they played the Kids in the Hall song cover in the middle of flood, right after the intro and before the vocals kicked in. then the next day in montreal they played it first before jambi.
i didn't know what it was at the time either, but i thought it was decent.
