With your photo of the beach / sea gulls, I tend to want to see what's happening to the right of the photo, to see where what looks like a pier is heading. I'm drawn to the right of the photo, but it doesn't really resolve. I agree that the people don't add that much to the photo too, the birds are more interesting. Nice b&w though.

Ugh, it really is! That's all there is to do...drive...because you want to get the hell out of there! We're going to be sure to avoid it on the reverse trip!

I really like this. Unlike the others who commented about them, I kind of like the people on the left. It adds kind of a personal touch, I guess you could say.

Thanks for the comments guys. It was really the only position i could get in to get the pillars, which is mainly what i wanted.

Eglyn, thats exactly what i think when i look at it too.. but truth be told there was nothing worth looking at further to the right. What it is is a covered over eating area with picnic tables, and to the right is an ugly road with a construction fence going up a hill. The 'pier' ends only a few meters away.

Anyhow, thanks =) I dont often think about the positioning of things in the frame.. but oh well.

Todays.. Not the most perfect shot by any means but the fact that i actually sorted out dad's camera to do this made me so very happy :D My first go at playing around with aperture and shutter speed..

That is nice. I lived in southern CA my whole life ((up until 8 months ago)), and I've never been to Mexico. Go figure.

That's a beautiful shot. I love how the bird on the rock is nearly in the middle of the brightest part of the sunset. Was that intentional? Very nice.
