Yay!!! I am going to San Diego also!! That axs system did suck really bad! I didn't get tickets until 10:25 and I had to click accept split tickets. Luckily the tickets aren't split and I got decent seat. Section 21a. I also broke my bank account and got the VIP ticket for Vegas. What can I say it's my birthday weekend so I had to spoil myself.

Getting tickets to Houston was terrible but after nearly having a heart attack when it said it was sold out after 3 minutes I some how got floor seats 9 rows from the stage. My lucky day.

i had good luck with that AXS site. put all the info in @11:40 for the waiting room. both computers in my house accessed the tickets at the same time (12:05).

Said to myself only going to do Vegas if I pull a ticket within the 1st ten rows. I'm at the outlet I go to nothing good pops up so I'm like whatever no biggie. So other people are there trying for del Rey here in sf, which sold out crazy fast also. So as I'm watching them try I go on tm app an try for a single. Boom pull 101 row D over the app inside row seat taboot. 1st stop Fresno 2nd well on my way.

for sure. i had no idea what was going on when the screen would refresh every minute on the axs site (which i had never used before). i was counting every minute that rolled over....finally it went to the seating/get ticket page and i was exuberant! lol

I did only get tix for that one show. I batted around Vegas and Fresno as possibilities. Ah knowing me, as it gets closer, I'll monitor tickets and probably get in at least one more.

True about the stress! I bought up Row F on the Floor for SD in one of the back sections. Thought "screw that, I'm going VIP". For those who had trouble though, if the past is any indication, more tickets will get released close to the show dates.

When I left the house this morning I warned the wife when I come home to tonight, Ill either be very happy or very pissed off. Getting tickets should not be this hard, even a state away. I wanted to go to Austin & Houston, which are 8 hours away. Austin/Ticketmaster(9000 seats)-I was in right at 10am and the "lil circle" started swriling saying approx. 1 minute from the get-go on 2 computers, super fast connections....I never got in. Luckily my brother did, twice, and got mid-floor both times....from 1 cell phone. Houston/Event Center Website (19000 seats)-Never got offered tickets until they were upper level....brother lost interest after 10 minutes on that one.

Im happy, still want to go to the Houston show, hopefully it works out. I despise ticket websites...even more after all these years.

Like mostly everyone else, I am overly excited for this mini-tour next month!! Flying in from NH for the opening show in Spokane then back to my ordinary life until the end of the month when I'll be flying to Phoenix for the closing show (as of today)!

BTW, Ticketswest (Spokane show) worked like a dream compared to the "Evil Empire", Ticketmaster (Phoenix show)! I had to go through my LiveNation app in order to get anywhere...pretty sure I wasn't the only one

I have not seen any support band info and I couldn't imagine Tool playing solo...

I have seen Meshuggah, Tomahawk and Isis open for them in the past. Wondering who it will be this time..?

I heard a little while back from a good source that it would be Failure and/or Yob, but there hasn't been any confirmation of this.

Ticketmaster app worked the best for me...had a tablet a computer and my phone goin at same time.... the app on my phone won.

I keep hearing this, but it hasn't worked for me.. I'm probably too stressed out to use my phone correctly.

So, I just posted this in the San Fran post, but I figured this is probably the better place: Last week I bought a VIP ticket to the 2nd night in San Fran on Toolarmy (super excited). I was emailed a receipt with a confirmation number, and for the entire week there was a pending charge on my credit card however the charge never officially went through and is no longer pending. I called my bank and all they could do was say to contact the toolarmy because they never put the charge through. Have any of you heard of this before with toolarmy? I sent them an email, but I know they are pretty slow at responding, if they even do. I'm coming in from out of country, and am waiting on this to buy my plane ticket. What do you think?

For those who purchased VIP, I look forward to hearing your review of the experience. I will be @ the Houston show. As mentioned, purchasing tickets was rough. Ended up with Sec 122 hope its not too far behind the stage. I was sweating bullets and almost justified sitting in the upperdeck, but then 122 finally popped up. It kills me how these re-sellers have 900+ tickets available just for the Houston show. Even more for other cities.... Regardless, should be a good show...they always are.

Did you receive a "Your Order Has Shipped" email from them with a tracking link? I got a total of 3 emails after the VIP purchase and that was the last one I received.

Btw, both Vegas and San Diego VIP tickets apparently sold out.

I honestly don't care what the setlist is. I am just stoked to see them live twice in two nights, but I am calling that they will play Eulogy. They have been pulling songs out of the old album bag the last few tours so I hope they play it.

I really don't think Maynard's voice is up for singing Eulogy these days, nor do I think the vocal effects he uses to pull off Hooker With A Penis and Ticks & Leeches would really do it justice.

I would be happy with him taking a backseat in Eulogy and the band just banging it out for old times sake. All he needs to do is just sing the parts he is comfortable with. The crowd would forgive them if he didn't belt out the final "good bye".

Thanks!! Which show do you have VIP? I received two emails that included a receipt. My account on toolarmy order status says, "new." How long did it take before you got the shipped email? I'm going to go ahead and buy my plane ticket as tickets keep going up. Fingers crossed everything works out since I have the confirmation email with order number.

Also curious to hear about the VIP experience so I know what to expect. If anyone is doing VIP in Spokane, I'd love to hear how far ahead of the show they email you to ask who will be picking up the tickets at will call. Also I'd like to know what time you have to show up the day of the show.

Are you just asking which cities to hang in or are you looking for stuff to do? If the former, that's the easiest question I'll field all day- Portland and San Francisco. Especially San Francisco. Plenty to do and see in that town. Tons of great restaurants. Fresno is... Fresno.

sounds about right. i'm massively excited to visit Portland for some reason. I also determined that renting a car for the Eugene show is the easier way to go, and going back to Portland after the show.

You are speaking logically for sure. I doubt it will be played but I think Maynard could sing it. Not like the album but I really thought 3rd Eye and Hooker With a Penis and Ticks were great live in 2012. Even with the voice distortion I still really enjoyed it, also when he would drop the megaphone and sing he sounded great to me. Also the band kills (in a good way) the older songs so I could really care less if Maynard can't hit certain notes. I like that he changes the notes to cover the range. It makes the song just slightly different.

I am really going to the Vegas show with out a clue what the setlist will be. I have only gone to two shows with out knowing the setlist, that was Coachella 06 and the Vegas 2012 shows. Both shows were so much better going in "blind". I was just stoked to hear every song that came next. The other 7 shows I went to I knew the setlist and it was fun but with how Tool tours there really wasn't any surprises. I think Opiate at the Salt Lake show I went to in 2006 was a great surprise and swamp song in a Vegas 07 show really caught me of guard and was stoked to hear those two. I am such a Tool addict that it's funny it's going to be hard not to visit this site and Fourtheye when the shows start. I know people are good at not posting spoilers but I just don't want to take a chance.

This is impossible advise for most people on this forum, but if you can manage it avoid all forums and setlist posts until you see them at the show you're going to. I know it's ridiculously tempting, but trust me - a tool show is SO much more enjoyable when every song is a surprise.

I remember some idiot ripped my print at home ticket out of my hands and ran off as I was talking to the usher about my seat location. I always carry copies so I wasn't stressing it.

About 30 minutes later, this idiot shows up at my seat and starts raising saying I was in his seat. The ushers came over as I was about to beat his ass and I broke my drivers license out and had them compare it to the name on the tickets.

who the eff does that??? idiot. I think he got booted.
