Maynard in his interview in Boston indicated this wasn't his idea and made it sound like he wasn't into very many dates. Even if it was Maynard being Maynard, I think it's clear that this tour wasn't a high priority.
Don't get me wrong, I am lucky that they are in Cinci and I feel for anyone that doesn't have a close show. I'm very fortunate to be able to drive to Toronto in addition to seeing them in Cinci.
I just don't think we are going to see anything in between Chicago and Poloma that is not in Cali.

Two and a half weeks until the first show, and TA's all about ISIS and baby showers. It would be nice to at least get definitive word that no more shows will be scheduled...
In other news, my Cincy tickets arrived yesterday!

How about a clue as to the opening band? Junior? I know, that's probably not going to happen, but I thought it was worth a shot. Never heard of Black Math Horsemen...can anyone give me an idea of what they sound like? Also, why do you think that they are going to be chosen, Runner701? BTW, who is BTBAM?
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
the best way to get pot in to a show is to simply put the bag in your wallet. No one has ever checked a wallet and if they do say fuck you, its my wallet you cunt and walk in. Then when the show starts remain seated and smoke that thing quick. smoking during the show can be risky but just look out for security, have your pals be on the lookout when ur taking a hit, and remain low and breath the smoke out slowly through your nose so its not a cloud. never been caught, never will.

You can listen to a few tracks from Black Math Horseman on their myspace page... The same with Between The Buried And Me (BTBAM).
BTBAM is one of the most innovative prog metal bands currently making music. Their sound is somewhat similar to bands like Mastodon and The Mars Volta, though a little "heavier". Be forewarned, BTBAM music can require a lot of patience, and of course, its not for everyone.
Check out their album entitled "Colors".

What's the tailgating situation like for arena shows? I'm going to the Duluth show and i was going to try to find some "performance enhancers" while i'm down there. Sadly, the days of acquiring such things locally have expired. Thanks in advance.

I was kind of wondering the same thing.
Since i'm flying over the border i'm not prepared to risk sneaking any "performance enhancers" through those american customs agents. Not a good idea.

Was at Duluth last time. Not sure about the tailgaiting scene though. It's a pretty middle class neighborhood.
There is a restaurant next to the Holiday Inn in the parking lot (Same parking lot as venue). Last time they hosted a local radio station preshow broadcast. Place was packed with Tool pre partiers. Won't be using enhancers in the restaurant but there will be a lot people.

Yeah, I'm not sure any more dates will be announced. But the way they have been releasing the dates so far, who knows.
As for those who are still looking for tickets or want better seats, check back with TM periodically. I purchased tickets when they went on sale for the SA show and got sec. 125. Just checked TM and what do you know...two seats popped up in Section 20!! Bought them in a heartbeat. I'm hoping some GA seats come up closer to the date of the show.
the evidence being the baby shower was for the drummer of the bands baby and now an art show featuring the singer...Blair isn't all about coincidences
That's definitely... well, it's cool you want people to hear them but giving their stuff away without permission is definitely not cool. Especially a band who is probably not raking in tons of cash. Maynard has spoken on many occasions about things like this - bands like Isis who are making it but not by much. When people cut into their album sales, it does make a difference. Hopefully anyone that downloads this and enjoys it decides to buy it.

I've been waiting for some kind of drop on TM for Manchester so I could upgrade. The lower level tix are going for $150-$200 on the secondary market. I will also try to get better seats outside the venue, but I have a feeling that might be tough for this show.

Agree entirely as i do own this album. the download blogs out there have helped me greatly in finding new artists, so i figured i'd share the love a little bit and allow people to make up their mind about the band. if its offencive to site admins please do take it down. its not like it would be difficult to find anyway, type any band name + blogspot and its up for sure. I just expect the fans of this page to have a little more respect for the music. myspace is just horrible for listening purposes. i edited the post to make it not such a direct violation, also i suggest you edit the quote in your post if the link is offencive.

yeah, i've had some good luck finding music online as well. just in different ways... generally a band putting a song or two up for free and if i like that, i get the album. i would like to think the people here would have good ethics with respect to this too. and yeah, it can be easy to find stuff like that, i would just imagine if i was in a band that was struggling to survive and came into a forum where people had my stuff for free i would get a little frustrated with my situation. but yeah, it is always good to spread the word about true/honest/original artists just so long as we all support them so they can keep doing the Right Thing.

I found some for $130 but I don't really want to go to NH ugh.

Or some definitive Tool content. It's turned into a myspace page for their friends to exchange party photographs. I don't know these people. I'm glad they're enjoying the beers and smiling for the camera, but there must be some footage, outtakes or something that has to actually do with the band's music or art. Throw us a clip from the dusty Lateralus DVD.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
i second that. Toolband is more an outlet for Blair and his experiences with Tool. I mean hes a cool enough writer who has written some interesting books....but if i have to look at another picture of something that isn't Tool related i might choke a chicken. I thought the entity of Tool wanted to remain behind the curtain, not show pictures of themselves designing baby outfits.

This is true. In newsletters past Blair has mentioned that on the "10,000 Days" tour they'd play "Triad", "Ticks & Leeches", "Eulogy", "Jimmy", etc, etc and of course it didn't happen. More than likely it's Blair fucking with us as usual. That is unless Junior has some input on that...
