Question: I've never seen Tool live, missed my chance in DC their last tour, so I'm wondering how their setlists vary? Is there an archive?
Also, if it seems they've been playing the same setlist from Coachella through all of May, do you think tickets are going to open up for Saturday's NYC show? I know I will consider letting mine go if that's the case, not because I don't think they'll kill each night but I anticipate Friday will blow my mind and I don't want to chase that high again on Saturday...
I'm not sure about the variation of setlists (you can check out www.setlist.com to see if someone has posted anything-but that's mostly a jamband site). I heard that they played a warm up for 50 people in Burbank a few nights ago, 2 hours, all old songs and 4 off the new album.
If you decide not to go, I would love to score those tickets, we can work something out if you are interested..please keep me in mind..may be able to throw in something kind as well as cash. thanks.
P-Digi, if you do happen to end up getting rid of those tickets i'd love to get just one. If you can it would be awesome if you could split them and make two posters on this board extremely happy. Either way I hope someone comes through, still willing to pay cxonsiderably above face.
When I saw tool on halloween back in 01 or 02, i forget what year, they played most of Lateralus and a few old songs. I don't care what they play this time around. I just wanna hear Eulogy live, that would be amazing.

I wasn't thinking so much the venue as being shitty as the view from the seats I have being shitty. I'm hoping you can pretty much see from anywhere in there like in the Tower theater in Philly, or so I hear.

my offer still stands, if anyone can get a pearl jam irving plaza ticket at tower records in the village on west 4th street tomorrow (monday) i will trade one of my tool 5/20 tickets for it. they are giving out the tickets to the first 450 people who buy the new pearl jam cd at midnite tomorrow nite. there are currently about 100 people on line now, so i would say if u get there by 5 - 6 in the morning you should be one of the first 450. if anyone does get a ticket, send me a PM.
With the intricacy of picking seats/sections, especially with the way it looks inside of the NY City Center, I want to if any of you can give a run down on how to pick sections. Like is RMZZ better than FGL? is it better to on the last row of MidMezz or the first row of RMezz? Left? Right? ;-)
I'm going to give in and try to score my self a pair of tickets (and please let me know if you have a pair to sell me). so if i'm going to bleed, i want to make sure that my blood is not just going to be flushed down the drain...

i paid $140 for the hammerstein show in '01 and i had a blast, it was deffinatley well worth it....also h aving seeing TOOL 3x and being on the guardrail infront of MJK for one show, I feel i dont really need to go to this show, however my heart tells me i really need to be there!!!

I just received 6 tickets in the mail for saturday night. I cannot go to this show however. Hey, just out of curiosity, has anyone been to one of these smaller-venue Tool shows before? Does the visual performance match up to their stadium shows or should I expect something a little bit more low-key? This will be my first time seeing Tool live, and I'd much rather just dive into the deep end.

It'd be nice if you could resell the tickets at a fair price to some real tool fans instead of ebay..I was able to purchase some Roger Waters tickets this morning that I could easily sell for double/tripple on stubhub or ebay, but i'd rather make someone's day
ok i have 2 tickets to each show.. if i can score better tickets i am gonna let someone have these. not at price, not at market value.. i am bidding on tickets on ebay and etc. for better seats. the ones i have are mezzizine rows o (19th) and r(20th) these could be backwards as far as which row for which show.. i will ask 200$ each ticket available as 1 or 3 or whatever.. to a happy person, but not till i get the other tickets in my hand.. purchase only at show.. ill give you my cell number.. sorry to be a somewhat scalper, but the market is a bitch, and im bidding 300+ to try and get grand tier right now.. so thats that... but anyways, as long as i can get better seats im gonna sell these to a lucky friend.. and to anyone who bitches about the markup,, look at ebay, be realistic, 400 for a set is way below what i could get, im just trying to make what i pay balanced to what i sell them for...

Is the COSM tour before or after the show? I am just not confident in my ability to be less than a tad fukt up afterwards and would like to have a memorable experience at COSM.
