7 more "sleeps" until the TOOL show! Holy shit, it seems like forever since I've seen them. I get the feeling my production at work is going to hit an all time low next week...

Hey Folks! Been a while, but I will be headed to the desert in less than a week for this show. I'll also be attending the VIP session. I did not take part last go around so I'm looking forward to it! Especially since BMB has confirmed there will be a rehearsal. EPIC!!
"Also, let us not forget the Tool VIP Event the night before in Mesa, AZ, especially now that we know the experience involves a rehearsal."
Anyone else going to this!?!?
Don't know if any of you follow Adam on IG, but he posted the poster for this show and it's typical bad ass Adam Art. Reminds me of the Vicarious video...here's a link if you want a peek.. https://instagram.com/p/9Mx1fvq3Ap/
^ please try and report back after the VIP. I am very interested in what will be said and what will be played at the rehearsal. Wish I could have made it to the VIP and show. I am just a 5 hour drive but no money from surgery and my brothers in laws wedding on Halloween. Very stoked for you! Enjoy and your homework is to report back to toolnavy with in a reasonable time after the VIP. :)

I will try to post at least the content of the rehearsal after the event that evening. Full review of the VIP session likely the following week.
Maybe MJK will pull off some BJJ moves on you and you'll become internet famous.
Just as long as I'm not too injured to attend the festival the next day....I'm game. I doubt MJK will be there, but I sure hope he is. I would imagine the rehearsal is pure instrumental, but you never know.

Re: General Tool Discussion
What is the deal with the sudden re-emergence of Rance Q Spartley? I mean the poster is a bug, he is an etymologist... Also when he first was brought up it was in relation to Dannys trip to get a type of drum that was going to be on the new album (Gamelan) and it had some crazy bugs inside the wood or something.... I am going to go read it again (damnit Blair)
Re-emergence? Rance has been discussed quite regularly over the last few years. His mention tends to coincide with live shows, in particular the announcement of them.

Re: General Tool Discussion
After answering a few of the concerns that the band had about this (tight-lipped) possible undertaking, the bug man did something that amazed everyone in the room. Noticing that a couple of band members were constantly scratching themselves, and seeing some inflammation of the skin, he asked them how long they’d had the rash on their arms? Both replied that it had been about a week now, and that sometimes it got so bad that they couldn’t rehearse.
Plus the bit about the new percussion. Just saying that maybe its more than just touring. That is just from the 1st newsletter that he appears in called "bug man"
Looking forward to the new stage production. Though I fear that will be the only new thing we'll see.
I wonder if the new stage production will be significantly different. I can't help but think that while behind the scenes there might be some changes, but the full breadth of the new stage production likely won't be seen until after the new album arrives.
I'm sure I'll be down for it but I refuse to pay for a show 10 months in advance. That is redic.
On that interview.
MjK is clearly tired of answering questions about the Tool record.
The interview was probably set up under the guise of talking about Puscifer.
MAY MAY always goes into salesman mode when Puscifer is about to tour and put out new music.
I think the band or some members look at the fans demanding new art from them as self entitled babies.
"Yeah Tool is fucking amazing. But there’s a big chunk of their fan base that think they’ve become thought provoking geniuses just from listening to them."
