Up here in Seattle we’re trying to lock it down, but you can basically go out if you want. Most all business were deemed “essential” and trying to get Washingtonians to stay inside when the sun is out turns out to be a bit of a joke. Nobody is working, so parks & waterfronts are all full of people. My hotel is shut down until 4/16 so I’ve just been keeping busy with chores and projects. REALLY hoping they don’t have to postpone anymore tour dates. I wish they’d be more aggressive with closures to just be done with it instead of dragging it out. I have Section 8 floor seats (Dead center 6 rows in front of the sound booth) @ Tacoma Dome, and I’d still really like to do that.

Yea, I can't believe the amount of people not heeding the warnings. My neighbors were letting their kids run all around our neighborhood with all the other kids and acting like nothing is wrong. Our Governor is one of the governor's getting massive praise from Trump, so I highly doubt he issues a shelter in place order for the state, which would close my work.

Couple of big tours getting postponed until next year. Roger Waters for one. Bummer!
And I believe Tool dates in June will also be postponed.
Ah well, gives me time to finally get through Jedi Fallen Order. Have Doom and then Last Of Us II coming, too. That's my survival kit... along with cold beer and online yoga!

I really think they will too. I could see not having another TOOL concert this year.
Have fun with Fallen Order! Great game, really fun.

Yeah, more of security than anything, I think maybe someone got rough with a cashier who was trying to enforce rationing of certain items.
Aside from soup and toilet paper my store is pretty well stocked.

Toilet paper is sparse here but you can find it, but the big thing I haven't seen in a while is flour. No one seems to have it anywhere close.

I had a back-order of 6 lbs of Caputo 00 flour (I like making pizzas) on Amazon which just arrived. Took about 3 weeks total to get it. It currently shows as in stock on April 13th. Seems like 3 weeks to get the shipment is the new norm, at least on Amazon.

I’ve been delivering for instacart since my restaurant is shut down... let me tell you, the number of pancakes people eat when they’re stuck at home. WOW.

Not to mention a higher occurrence of diabetes and a variety of other physical maladies that accompany over-eating and lack of physical activity.
Well ain’t we all just little Mary Sunshines here... positive thoughts people!

Domestic Violence on the rise in France. Ugh.
For every positive story there are 10 depressing ones.
Maybe now is the time to start documenting my Tool stories.

Dude, I feel like I'm losing weight. I'm not going to the gas station and getting a Monster and candy every day. I'm not snacking hardly at all, which is rare for me.

Just saw on Tool's Facebook page that they extended their postponements through June, which includes the show I got tickets for. I knew it was gonna happen but was holding out hope.

Yeah... it felt inevitable. I see a lot of people calling for a cancellation/refund. I, for one, am glad that I can keep my seats, though I would be feeling MUCH differently if I was traveling more than 10 mins to Tacoma Dome. No matter when the new date is, I’ll be there. Dead center on the floor.
Look on the bright-side. Maybe the guys will be ‘productive’ with their isolation...

Agreed. Nothing less than a vaccine is going to be good enough to give people the confidence needed to resume large scale socializing. Some of the rescheduled shows I have in my calendar are already moved to later this year. Starting to think none of them will happen. Hope I am wrong.

Take this with a large grain of salt...I heard that in the States we are too far gone that either social distancing will have to remain in place or a vaccine will need to be developed in order to not overwhelm our healthcare system.

My sister is a virologist and I can tell you with some certainty that a vaccine is a ways off. Especially millions and millions of doses.

Yea that’s blow it sounds. At this rate I think most will have to catch it and beat it before the vaccine is available.

It's not mutating which is good but if China doesn't clean up their act, this will happen again and again.

A sobering thought. Tool’s last song ever played live could be Stinkfist on March 11, 2020.

So, this may not be the right sub, or whatever... but we could use some stimulating conversation, no?
Where is the line for “bootlegged” items? T-shirts with ripped off images are against the law... and selling unlicensed music, I get that...but here’s where I’m at: starting to blow glass and inspired to sculpt Adam’s figures from some of the Tool posters. Maybe even incorporate a red heptagram into a functional piece... who knows? I’m kind of thinking out loud... but at what point can I get in trouble for overstepping copywriter or whatever?

Where is the line for “bootlegged” items? T-shirts with ripped off images are against the law... and selling unlicensed music, I get that...but here’s where I’m at: starting to blow glass and inspired to sculpt Adam’s figures from some of the Tool posters. Maybe even incorporate a red heptagram into a functional piece... who knows? I’m kind of thinking out loud... but at what point can I get in trouble for overstepping copywriter or whatever?

I agree with HB. When you start making money I’d expect you could run afoul

I’m just depressed that I “might” have missed the last TOOL show.
