Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Yeah its for sure not GA if you now go to your e-mail you will find your conformation and it will tell you your section ..... i hated how the tickets just said "floor" on the section instead of the actual section A,B,C,D, or E . That was really shitty!!!! you didnt know what section you were buying, but at least they are for sure on the floor!!
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Damn, I got badass seats! At first it gave me section 200, but then I went back and looked again... section A on the floor baby! This is going to be the closest I've ever been at a Tool show.... well, I think I saw them with GA seats one time, but anyways... see you guys at the show!
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Section B row P. About the same seats I had for Dallas 2006. I didn't know that tickets.com were also handling orders, I'm fairly sure I could have done better on the phone but no complaints at all! Can't wait to see Tool for the 7th time!

You are very correct, but I saw Deftones perform "Passenger" in June in SLC and Chino did an amazing job filling in Maynard's parts. It really wouldnt have been THAT much better if it were Maynard himself, and thats saying a lot coming from me....
Hah, that'd be a lot coming from me too. I'm picky when it comes to vocals.

What a fucking great story! Glad to hear that people got good seats, one less for the scalpers. I don't know how many times I cursed scalpers while waiting for tickets this morning.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
I've got a quick question kids...
So, this morning on 100.3 The X (local station) annouced that Tool will be coming to The Idaho Center December 8th, which is a day after Spokane so it seems feasible since Boise and Spokane are about 6 hours apart. Although there is no officiall Blair confirmation on the main page, the Idaho Center pretty much confirmed that its happening they just dont have all the ticket arragement yet or something.
Right now I dont know what to do. I can either get up at 9:50 tomorrow, and buy SLC tickets that I know will go on sale. OR wait and risk missing a Tool show all together? If I were to buy SLC tickets tomorrow, and Tool confirms Boise later on, do you think the SLC tickets would sell quickly on ebay? Im guessing almost undoubtedly. I dont know what to do. Give me advice...
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
^^^^^^^^^ I would wait man. Im sure if you called the venue and they confirmed for you that the show is happening then i bet its just a matter of time before blair puts it up.

Do I trust the venue and the radio station
or...
Do I make a risky investment? hmmm
Well if you buy tickets to the SLC show and then they confirm your boise show as long as you dont put a ridiculous price on the tickets you will be able to re-sell them on stub-hub or any other ticket reseller. Just list them for a little bit more (NOT MUCH) over the face value and they will sell because they will be one of the few tickets that are reasonably priced. Almost all tickets for sale on the "resellers" are WAY over priced, so yours would stand out!!! That is what i would do ! Good luck with whatever you decide!!Or like someone said go to both shows fuck it haha !!!

OMG that is badass! Didnt I hear on the radio once that Maynard had refused to come back to Boise because of something that pissed him off during one of the shows? I swear I remember hearing something like that on the X.

Fuck it, I am going to both haha
Fuck yeah bro. Im so glad I get to see them at home again. The 2002 Idaho Center show was amazing. As for the rumor about Maynard... I'm pretty sure that during their Aenima tour in the late 90's they came though Boise. What I heard pissed him off was the kids on the floor were gettin crazy and hurting eachother. Maynard told them to stop, they didnt... Maynard walked off stage.
They came back though, and they played an amazing set. I will always remember that show. Anyone who got to see Tool during the Lateralus tour got a real treat. They were insanely ambitious back thenm, and the stage/lighting/visuals were all top notch. 10,000 days stage setting has been classy as fuck though. Either way its Tool, its godlyness and I cant wait.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)

If you havent heard yet...All seats are reserved sitting no general admission. This includes floor as well. They will have chairs bolted together throughout the floor. The ticket price for Tulsa was 52.50 at the box office and like $61 over the phone and internet. The concention center holds about 8000 but you got remember the the seats behind the stage usually dont get sold so the floor seats kind of off-set them...so it will be 8000 or so. I REALLY WISH WE HAD A TULSA THREAD TO TALK ABOUT THE UPCOMING SHOW!!!!

Would suck fat ones if this were true but I am a realist.
Like others have said, Im not reading too much into this. They came through my area 3 times in a year or so on the Lateralus tour and they were doing the hugging at the end of the show then too.

I just woke up a few minutes ago and have to tell you about my luck! Me and two friends went to the Tulsa convention center at 3am to wait in line for tickets. Security was hanging out and ran us off. We went and ate breakfast, came back, and began waiting (first in line)at the door at 530am.
Me and my buddy made it to the first 2 opening windows and secured 12 seats together in SECTION A ROW B CENTER STAGE!!! There was some confusion though...We always like to be in the first section off the floor just to the side of the stage. So we went up and asked for section 1. Their system doesnt allow you to search for this, ONLY best available...so when they said floor, we were like, SHITT! Then we found out floor was all seating and chairs would be bolted. I AM THRILLED!
I cant believe we got 12 seats together (6 a piece) on the second row. We continued to ask the floor manager in charge of setting up the seating more questions:
The floor sections are set up in 2 sections in front ( A & B) despite the floor maps we saw showing 3 across (A, B & C). The seats are setup 1 through 22, with 1 being on the side edge of the stage and 22 being the last seat center stage. My buddy got 11 through 16 and I got 17-22, so MY ASS IS GOING TO BE 2ND ROW CENTER STAGE!!!! I still cant believe it and now dont know if I cant wait a lil over a month for the show. WE NEED A TULSA THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This will be my 8th show, I believe...

Just got my tickets for the November 19th show in Tulsa, Ok.
I CANT BELIEVE they're coming here. I saw them in may in Oklahoma City and I loved it. And now I get to see them again, and this time only 10 minutes from my home.

What's your IDEAL setlist?
It's gonna take them a while to get to the east coast, but I'm so pumped to see them again (third time this tour, excess much?)
My ideal setlist would include the SALIVAL Pushit, Intolerance, Eulogy, The Grudge and Third Eye, Reflection with jam (Remember those kettle drums and etc? they don't bring 'em out anymore, do they?) Jimmy, Intension, Jambi, The Pot, Rosetta Stoned
Keep dreaming, I know. Damn I wanna hear Pushit and Intolerance. I didn't appreciate The Grudge and Third Eye when they were playing them live, now they're on the top of my list. That ever happen to you?

They aren't playing any east coast shows this time around, but they seem to be planning a two-nighter in LA, might be worth flying out for, and it could be the last US shows on this tour.

I got 2 GA Floor tickets for Spokane! That's awesome. Then I tried to get floor tickets for Portland. I was online searching right at 11 a.m. and no Floor tix were available. Then I called the Rose Quarter and asked the staff. I got two Floor tickets for the most expensive price $55. But the staff told me there's going to me seats down on the floor (and no area without seats). So the tickets I got for Portland floor are in seats. I'm a little confused and will be pissed if there are actual floor tickets without seats. Plus I wasn't told if they're available or going on sale at a later date.

Anyone have any luck for Everett? We couldnt get on the website at all, so called. Ended up in section 220 which is fucking bullshit. I called the Arena and they said it sold out immediately and was insane. I am still going to work on getting better seats up untill the show and then just get rid of the shitty seats.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
I lucked out: my buddy was able to snag two GA tickets for the Spokane show. What I'm curious about is if their visual setup will change at all for this round of shows. I was a bit underwhelmed when I saw them at the Gorge back in 06'. Their Lateralus tour was a lot more visually impressive when I saw them at Key Arena in Seattle in 01'. I was wondering if any of their European shows or shows since the Gorge one had improved or changed in the visual design. I want more falling Alex Grey banners damn't! And screens that you can see.
