Wow ... It's rare for me to hear something in this section that I like, but the MySpace samples are killer.

"Serein" is quite a nice piece of music. Let us all know if you get some more samples available.

Seriously, I love your drumming. Obviously a large Danny Carey influence. Can we get some basic info, like gear setup and how you guys came to be?

yeh sure, thanks
We have Bass, Guitar and Drums. We are working on using a Sequencer live so i'll be playing to a click track.....arghh lol
im 22
Guitarist - 23
Bass - 24
We have actually been playing together for about 8 years. We used to have vocals...but it wasn't working out so good so we did some improvised instrumental gigs and it worked really well. For the past 2 years we have been doing instrumental music and released one 30 min EP. (Our songs are usually 30 mins long and split into tracks on the EP)
We have just recorded our new EP and we are about to release it. We have never given ourselves a big push before and we ended up loseing any fans we had cause we put no effort in. But things are gonna change and we are gonna go for it big style....gonna take some effort though. If you have read this far, more info is here - http://www.myspace.com/opusinstrumental
I have gone through 3 kits-
Pearl forum
Tama rockstar custom
And I now use a SONOR de-lite kit (Yeh I am heavily Danny influenced, lol)
Birdseye Amber finish
20 bass drum
8, 10, 12, 14 toms
14 snare - Steve smith artist series SONOR
Zildjian Cymbals
I have a degree in drums through college and Bill Bruford from King Crimson was actually one of my teachers...one of Dannys main influences. When i found out I had him for a teacher....I almost came in my jeans. That guy is a god...i NEED to hear some more stuff of his.
Thank you for your interest

Im actually in England if that helps....
Im not sure about over seas buying, I will definately look into it. The E.P is taking ages cause our cd's havent arrived yet....its been 3 weeks of waiting....the bastards.
We may try something where you can download the whole tune for a cheaper price of about £3, as apposed to the E.P record price of £5
There will be just over 50 mins of music on this E.P
I'll keep you updated if you like
Thanks a lot
