Yeah man, what is the scale on that? It looks like it could be huge, (if it is, how the hell did you scan it)
It's 48 by 20. I had to scan it in 15 pieces and put them together in photoshop...it was such a nightmare. The right panel still needs to be color corrected a little bit as you can tell.
Thanks for the compliments you guys.

I really liked it, although I assumed the colour difference was intentional. It gives a nice effect.
I think the left section is the best, especially the textures in the top left. Fantastic.
Was this work inspired by anything in particular?

I made this painting when I was really depressed and in love with a girl. The stairrcase on the right was based on a picture she gave me that she took in Italy. The faces are my own self-portrait. The painting was inspired by my inability to make the right decision...or choose the right path. I was also doing a large amount of drugs at the time.

I thought the faces might have been you. The painting gets better with a bit of explanation. Very impressive work in any case.

I love it. That face in the staircase reminds me a little of Dalí, but i don't really know that much about art so i don't have a huge frame of reference. Im curious, how long did it take to paint this?

This was definitely Dali inspired. He's my favorite painter so I can't help but borrow from him a little bit. It took me about 3 months to do this, which for me is really quick, because I usually lose interest in something for months at a time. It probably took 150-200 hours (a rough guess)

You can definately see the Dali influence. The middle section instantly brought to mind the Smashing Pumpkins. The imagery is similar to that which the Punkins conjur up in their music. Your very talented.

It reminds me strongly of ancient Greek art. The first thing that struck me was how much it felt like I was looking at a religious vision from a distance time...
"the endless journey of the soul", or something like that.
Perhaps you could post some more of your artwork? I'd love to see it.
This is really an amazing picture. Im not an artist or anything but I really like this. Its so clear and amazingly done. I really like the portrait that is part translucent it makes you seem like some sort of god haha. My other favorite part is where the sky fades to purple.. the color is so deep and powerful. I love it.
