And you're supposed to judge based on talent, not the ability to write songs- I obviously didnt write a song in mine.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to make the polls public so as we can see who's voted. Anyone who joins after the date which the poll started (or a certain period before) should have their vote voided. I don't know if mods can see who's voted or not, but if so, this may get around the problem..

I know Smirk's making up the rules.. It's just a suggestion in the interest of fairness.

The ability to write songs isn't talent?

To me, creativity is more of a talent than technical ability. Most people could memorise where all the notes are, and practice inscreasing the speed at which they play the notes, might just take some people longer than others, its just muscle memory, but being able to be creative with those skills is where the talent comes through.

The problem is, I didnt write a song, so you cannot judge his songwriting ability against mine. I thought this was a shred contest, and that's exactly what I did. You cannot say his composition has more depth than mine, because that's not what I was aiming for at all- if you guys want to call this the 'songwriting battle' then he will surely win, however if it's the 'shred contest' then I will.

I hate to call 'redo' but I think that might be in order if you want to pit our talents against each other.
