i just got a mfx pedal for my bass. it has a headphone input, is it possible that i could get some sort of connection from the headphone input to my computer mic input if you know what i mean? would this work?

yes that will work...you may just need converters if its a 1/4 inch jack...just go to your local radio shack...

You mean output?
Anyway, it will work, but it probably won't sound all that great. The headphone output is an amplified signal and the line-in on your sound card expects to receive line level input. You may be able to get some usuable sound into your computer, just turn the headphone volume down pretty low and monitor the input level on your computer. Basically you want to avoid clipping, which sounds like ass.

it'd be better if you had a line out on your preamp y'know ... those are designed to be recorded off of/put into the mixer of a PA
