A couple sketches I did...

This is supposed to be Ian Curtis, but it's kind of hard to tell because his hand is in the way.

Another one.

Both of these took me around half an hour. The most time-consuming part of the first one was getting the background dark. The scan doesn't exactly do it a whole lot of justice. Ah well.

EDIT: There. That should work.

Re: A couple sketches I did...

That they do.

I really like the first one. I find myself pretty partial to the whole hand-to-the-face look that some guys pull off.., and you managed to capture the innocence but raw masculinity perfectly, I believe.

The second is also worthy of praise. I feel like shes gonna start talking to me any second. Shes got that look in her eye kinda like the calm before the storm of reasons why you are wrong. If that makes any sense?

Re: A couple sketches I did...

Thanks for your feedback. I was trying to get that sort of "innocence", as you put it, and it's good to hear I'm not the only one seeing it.

Ditto. The detail is awesome, way better than the first. The first one, while good, seemed kind of bloated, off kilter kind of. Both are great though, I can't believe you drew that second in only a half hour.

Re: A couple sketches I did...

Those are very nice. They seriously only took you half an hour each? That alone is amazing.
