A Tool show would probably be the only place of refuge in an apocalypse. Everywhere else, the Earth would crumble.

I'm pretty fucking excited to see what Justin, Danny, and Adam have come up with this time.
Me too! And is everyone else as sick of the wine/puscifer bullshit as I am? Seriously, it seems like all we get on the Tool page anymore is wine signings, Puscifer shows, and how the vineyard is doing. Don't get me wrong, I'm uber thrilled for the guy that he's feeling his chi and having such a grand time, but I am not reading "maynards-side-projects-dot-com"!!
And the whole "decipher this newsletter to see if you can get anything out of it!" game that Blair has been playing for a decade is old and exhausting. Bleh. Just give me SOMETHING to hold on to, guys!
Um - sorry for the double post, but after slogging through the August newsletter, it occurs to me that the whole effluvious rant was to announce some inner sanctum tool fan site and also to confirm that writing and arranging is heavily underway. (HOORAY!) Jesus. Blair makes me want valium.
Lol buddy, there's an edit button :) Continuing on!!
I am pretty much sick of anything NOT Tool related on Toolband. It's called toolband. I don't care where Alocka (spelling?) is playing, I can't go to Austen anyway. The Baked Potato and Alex Grey related stuff is cool and all, but...really, I don't care about some book Blair's cousin owns. Etc.
I am, however, currently trying to get my parents to sign up to the Velvet Slippers club--cuz supporting Maynard is pretty up there on my list of priorities :P
I agree on the newsletter as well, if you look back a few pages I was mad myself about it...but yeah, I think he wanted to mostly point out the nano guitar, possible Aussie tour, their homes, etc. What exactly would make us the highest Tool fans?? And of course Tool writing is amazing. So yeah...I hate Blair for all this stupid random shit, but there was a small amount of decent information.
Tool - June 20, 2010 - A Perfect Circle - July 22, 2011 - Tool - January 21, 2012 -
Nine Inch Nails - November 5, 2013 - Skinny Puppy - January 30, 2014 - Tool - March 24, 2014 - Tool - January 13, 2016

I almost totally agree except for when it's wine news. That's the worse!

Listening to Tool playing a show from Nov 5th 2002. What an amazing show!
Hell yea dude! I have that one on my ipod. At TN right. The stinkfist has a part of white lines in it. It also has an early version of Wings for marie.

I know you guys would prefer to keep it strictly Tool, but really, what is there to talk about at this point?

I read through the August newsletter a couple times and I basically got a hint at a possible appearance in Australia/New Zealand and Hawaii. I am glad that it did mention they were working on the new album whether it be writing, recording, whatever. If there is some hidden meaning in the other stuff, I cant figure it out. I really wish I would have made the trip to the St. Charles show, it would have only been about 7 hours for me, but I had to work and I dont think my wife would have went that far with me as she is not as big a fan as I am. I would love to see APC, but I would much rather have a new Tool album in my hand and tickets for some Tool shows.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion
You don't have to read the stuff. *I* care about Aloke Dutta, and Alex Grey. They're amazing. Ok, so maybe Maynard's latest wine developments are not. What else is there to say anyway?
September 8, 2010. 8:17 a.m. DC took a shit.
They are working on new Tool awesomeness. What more do you need to know?

One of the Big Day Out 2011 headline acts live in Los Angeles, California, USA. The other headliner doesn't. Both are bands, neither are solo performers.
I guess there are plenty of possible LA bands it could be referring too, but I'm still thinking Tool...
