Lyrical Lyrics...

Pleonasm

Verse #1
and the rain is dark when falling
but beautiful inside the drop
soaking me as I continue to stand
this is pressing
and all too refreshing
I'm here for you
it's all I'm worth here
this is why I should'nt question...

Chorus
I love to watch you move
and grow in wonderous moments
in time, inside the drop
so good to fall
not a martyr but another puzzle messenger
here for another frame of mind
frame of another picture inside the drop
scheduled to fail
one more filler to fill

Verse #2
been touched by a force to fall
to fall like this
as a perception alter to persue
to persue all in the me
this is pressing
and all too refreshing
I'm here for you
it's all I'm worth here
this is why I should not question...

The Weatherman

Verse #1
calm before the storm
not so restricted here
but the climate's ever changing
tranquilities end is near
I'd like to get some shelter
I'd like to wait it out
but the rains are inescapable
and my mind detestes drought

Chorus
he turns to me
gives me the news
the weatherman
will set me loose
predicting loss
of judgement now
the weatherman
is my personafied cloud

Verse #2
grab hold of something quick
this wind might hurt
experimentalist is an understatement
too caught up to be alert
I'd like to reach the eye
of this whirlwind tunnel
but too busy back-tracking
in a narcisists funnel

Re: Lyrical Lyrics...

the first was excellent, like watching rain fall on a stormy day. the second had too many tool references....

Re: Lyrical Lyrics...

thank you all! so glad to see your enjoying what I write. funny how most people are their own worst critic because some of this I think could be so much better.
and about the Tool references, I'm not just defending my own work but honestly none of them are done on purpose and I dont consider anything I write to be a "Tool reference." their just words coming through me, if their words Tool has used in a similar way then well...put it this way, bands who have guitar in them are not original because other rock bands have guitar already.
but maybe I listen to so much Tool that I should watch for it next time I write a song. so either/or...
