Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
the spin article only seems to explain why maynard (or tool) don't like playing pre-aenema stuff. what about mixing up the setlist with other lateralus songs?

I'll go ya one further- where the hell are The Pot, Intension, and Right In Two? I especially want Intension in its entirety!
Ah screw it. I'll say this- everytime I hear the opening chime to 10,000 Days live, I feel lucky. Tool has a lot of balls to do a song that personal and in defiance of their so called 'prog metal' status. Wings 1 & 2 don't sound anything like ANY other band. I am fortunate to have seen it done live as many times as I have.

From the website: The Tool show scheduled for Monday December 3, 2007 at the Adams Center has been cancelled due to illness. All internet and credit card sales will be automatically refunded. All other refunds available through the Adams Center Box Office only. Call 1-888-montana (666-8262) or 243-5041 for more information.
The message also said cancelled and they are refunding the tickets.
Man what's going to happen with only a couple of shows to go?

hrmm so all of the lowlifes who bought tickets right away and sold them for 400 dollars on craigslist/ebay are gonna get their 70 bucks back too?... that's pretty awesome.

yeah, on the official website they say *postponed*...it seems like Maynard almost always gets sick after he goes to Denver. Weird. But I think he likes Denver, so I hope he doesn't realize this and keeps coming here. my guess is that he felt wings pt 2 was too tiring as he felt the illness coming on?

Viva Las Vegas!!! Let's hope Maynard and the band are 100% for the 2 shows. As far as the other shows...who cares lol...it all comes down to The Pearl.

It is now being reported on Toolarmy (not Blair) that the make-up date is Sunday December 15th.
Whatever!!!
"Reported" by a Toolarmy member who heard that on a local radio station (just to clarify).
I'm going to have to say that the radio station is speculating or got wrong info and just went with it.
I wouldn't say impossible, but extremely improbable.
Tool is in Las Vegas on the 14th.
It is about 950 miles to Missoula from Las Vegas.
That is a drive that is over 13 hours in perfect conditions.
The equipment travels in 7 Semi Trucks.
The equipment would arrive in Missoula at 3pm (at best) assuming it left Las Vegas at 1am.
The equipment would need to be in Missoula by 9am, ideally, to get set up in time (11am or even noon would be the latest).
The math doesn't work to get Tool to Missoula for a show on the 15th.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
That's shitty for Montana fans. I'm kind of worried now though... Tool will be here in Boise on Saturday. I hope 5 days is enough time for Mr. Keenan to heal and perform well. Just gotta keep thinking positive. I will be really let down if something happens. Team Sleep was supposed to be here last night but got heavy snow through Oregon. If both shows Ive been looking foward to for months now get cancelled.... man I dont even wanna think about it.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Does anyone have ANY info on the show in Everett tomorrow? I thought for sure by now something would have been posted on toolband (since the show is tomorrow...the show directly after the one they cancelled today), but I guess not.
Im trying to keep the positive thoughts flowing...

Ricker was still promoting the concert today on his High Noon show, didn't say anything about Montana being bagged either tho. Keep an ear on KISW and an eye on toolband.
If I hear anything, I'll post it.

As far as I know Everett is still a go.
Load-in is still scheduled to begin at 8am and all of the personnel and equipment is in Washington State and ready to go.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
i'm wondering how the band is going to get to portland after the everett show. I-5 is shut down and will be for at least the next 24 hours most likly more. the detour around I-5 is over 400 miles on small congested roads. hope everything works out well.

This is what I want to know. I spoke with a lady at the Rose Quarter and she told me that refunds were not going to be granted. She advised that I sell the ticket to someone else...WHO?!? Anyone else in Seattle going to the show is going to have same problem as me. Here's the best part...she said, "Well, the band is finding a way here. If they can get here...so can you." I wanted to stick my hand through the other end of the phone and shove her receiver up her ass. Happy fun times!

What a biyatch! If you must sell hit up someone in eugene or portland. I know you could sell it there on craigslist if worse came to worse. But how would the other person get the ticket? That sucks man... I'm sorry. I hope portland and spokane actually happen.

I know this is a stretch...but http://www.printmafia.net/ has new Tool posters available on 12/8. No mention of a portland poster.
Quote:
More Tool Posters
We have just added the Victoria "Rasputin" Poster. This is the first of a 3 poster set - also included are "Freud" for Everett and "Crowley" for Spokane. The other 2 will be posted the day after the shows and can be purchased as a "3 Poster Set" with a discount figured in for purchasing the set.
Check back on the 8th for the set. Here is a preview:

FYI : The band "Tu" (Pat and Trey from King Crimson) have been added to the show tonight in Everett and will be starting at 7:45pm. The current plan is that they will be on the bill tomorrow in Portland, as well.

Hey junior, that's something that i've been wondering about. frisco and LV, along with Everett, are not listed on Trans Am tour schedule on their website. Does that mean frisco and LV will get Tu as well?
A Tu-Tool combo sounds mighty good to me =)

Trans Am are playing in Everett after Tu. Tool is still on at 9.
I don't know about San Fran, but I think Vegas is without Trans Am.
Tu are just playing at these 2 shows because Trey lives in Seattle, much like they played Texas earlier this year because Pat lives in Austin.

you lucky fucks. oh well, we can all get the recordings at least. By the way, there is a new U.S. tour show on thetradersden.org, be it the worst one (or the best one, depending on your paradigm I suppose).
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Radiohead will be releasing the US dates for their tour anytime now. They'll be playing select cities (they only play in cities they like...they're picky).
If you like amazing live shows where the sound is far superior than the CD then go see Radiohead.
Tool / Radiohead tour would be the greatest show on Earth...besides Ashley Simpson...
