Maybe I'm just being hopeful, but it seems like the April 23-27 window would be more likely than after they wrap stuff up in June on the East coast. But who knows?
I'll be checking toolband like a fiend till they announce it!
Not looking good for that to happen. Seems like they want to hold Danny out till the end of April, although April 26th and 27th (Thursday and Friday) appear to both be open dates at The Pearl.
There also looks to be a little crack (huh huh- crack) between that Albuquerque date and the start of the tour in the south. Problem there may be that they have to get the trucks down there and may require all that time to travel.
After that we are looking at late June before anything possible in Vegas, although most likely they make up the missing east coast dates then.
Either way, they are still coming back to the west coast for LA and SF dates so it's gonna happen.
embarassed to say this, but i've only really started getting into to tool over the past few months and I regret missing their past northern california dates. Are these san francisco and los angeles dates definitely going to happen and upon doing research I am under the assumption these dates weren't a part of the announced tour dates so far, so is there any estimation of when they would announce these to go on sale?

Well, up to this point I have been a pessimist and haven't been right once! So let's keep our fingers crossed it happens this way. Either way, I'll breath a sigh of relief once I see new dates scheduled.

Dude, you got nothing to be embarrassed about so don't sweat. If you discovered The Beatles or Led Zeppelin tomorrow they would still be great bands. Tool the same. Only difference is you are going to be lucky enough to see them play live.
As for the CA dates, they're coming. Be patient. They did two dates at Staple's Center here in LA last time around that both sold out and they could easily do that again if they want to.
Reminds me- I only got into Tool after chancing upon APC at a show my friend and I attended (I was really there to see the opener, The Mars Volta). I was so blown away by Maynard's performance that I eventually got heavily into Tool as well. Don't listen to much APC anymore.

Sweet!
EDIT: I just called and they said no new dates confirmed.
Hmmm, I called yesterday too and they confirmed it.
I just called The Palms because of your comment. I was told the box office isn't even open yet (not until 10:00 a.m.)
Hopefully we get an official toolband.com announcement. However, I feel pretty good these are the dates seeing as though I've heard it from two different sources and one is box office at The Pearl.

You're probably right. The lady I spoke to was a receptionist for the Palms, not the box office, so she may not have been told yet.
Awesome news! Time to get that hotel room booked. That is going to be a good week. Aside from the Tool shows I'm seeing Black Sabbath w/Dio and Megadeth on Apr 25. Always liked the Mob Rules, altho mostly going for my brother's sake. Good times!
well they were for the Thursday night show. so i'm assuming that will be the Friday show now??
they are in section 303 row A.
Oh, ok. I actually have section 202 that first night. Back in 303 the second night. Thanks though! You definitely won't have any problem moving an extra Vegas ticket around here. Post it in the TDN ticket hook-up.
and the underwriter? cmon, you don't think a guy from charlotte nc thinks you can actually throw out a name. you have to have sponsors. that's the name of the game.
so who underwrites the box? remember, I'm just a 'neck from NC
Off topic, but, Just cuz you thought I was bullshitting:

Really? I hope they come back for a Bay Area show.
With The Pearl having open dates on the 26th and 27th, they are probably just waiting till Danny heals a little more before announcing those initial shows.

You could be right. I still have not seen any confirmation for new dates (although I have started looking into rooms for the 27th and 28th). Not sure that they can 'tentatively' plan to play a venue- either it's on, or it's not. But since both shows are already sold out I guess they don't have too much to worry about as far as letting the fans know. Come ON already guys!
BTW, I am not thinking that if they do these dates at the end of April, then the second night will definitely be the better of the two. No way they push Danny on the first night back.

its not like hes gonna step up there cold. im sure he will be on the drums well before they play a show.

I was due to turn 30 on Wednesday and catch them on Thursday --would have been a great 30th birthday but whatever. Hey, I was able to switch my flight and hotel from 3/14-3/17 now to 4/25-4/28 for $50 on Yahoo travel so I did --I hope they indeed play on the 27th-28th ---any other folks from Houston going ??
O.K is there anybody else out there getting aggrivated that the band can't seem to update their website when you have THE PALMS confirming the date? or would THE PALMS be miss-informing the public? and I also believe i saw tickets on ebay for the show reflecting 4/27 - 4/28. Hate to bitch but I've been stressed out now for almost a month! ----CAN I GET A HELL YEAH ???

Truthfully, I am kind of hoping it is not happening on those dates. I've been checking and room prices are sky high that weekend! :P
I know. But I'v called the Pearl box office a few times and they have confirmed those dates. I gotta think that means somthing, plus there are a few scalpers on EBay going with those dates.
AND, I've agreed to get crushed on those dates as well. $91 per night at the Circus Circus? AHHHHHHHHH! Plus the airline rescheduling. I'm down about a grand for these shows! Let's hope!

Ouch- yea $91 for Circus Circus is painful! That place is barely worth the $49 off season rate. I am probably doing The Orleans @$143 a night. Just stay one night and then drive back to LA after the second show.

O.K, How big of a hole is that place? --i just so happened to be staying at the Circus Circus that weekend--it wasn't by choice, but Ive stayed at Mandalay, NY-NY, Harrahs, and Luxor and I just wasn't in my room enough to make a shit, so the 4 days and 3 nights at $870 for 2 adults sold me! When I called Yahoo to change my flight & hotel to the new dates I actually got a $150 back because the rates were cheaper than the spring break week...."for those of you wondering how steep the fees are to change your reservations"....it worked out better for me personally. I'll keep a 3rd eye out for you fools staying at the Circus !!!
How sure are you guys that the rescheduled shows will be the 27th and 28th.
I'm waiting for Blair to confirm it already.
You guys seem pretty sure since you're already changing accomm/flights to suit.
The fact that I'll be in Vegas at this time is pure chance, I booked my flights in January.
I'll be in New York the week before and again just by chance I was going to check out Tool in Albany since I was going to be New York anyway. But this was prior to Danny's injury and tickets luckily hadn't gone on sale yet.
I hope these dates are correct, I'd love to see Tool in Vegas. I don't have tickets.... yet, I'm sure they'll be plenty of scalpers or even some returned tickets for those that couldn't reschedule.
And I'm staying at Circus Circus too. I'm travelling by myself (I'm Australian) so it's pretty cheap and I don't plan spending much time in my room anyway.
I just might see a few of you fuckers around Vegas or even the hotel.

It's not horrible and if you are just crashing there, it's fine. Just don't expect it to be anything like the places you mentioned! I just think $90+ to stay there is ridiculous, but what can ya do?

Heh, wow- showing up from AU to this particular set of gigs without tickets- BALLSY! This show is not going to be the easiest to get into, so good luck to ya there. I think even with the reschedule that tickets will be scarce.
As for the dates, nothing official yet from either the venue, Ticketmaster, or even Blair over at Toolband. Hope to know soon.
Ok, so I'm a hypocrite- booked Circus Circus for two nights. Best price around by far. Prices are sky high everywhere. Wonder if the NBA finals are that weekend? Anyway, just need a place to crash so into the dive I go! And at this point, I am back to getting stoked for some Tool!

Nah, like I said before I was going to be in Vegas anyway. Tool just decided to reschedule to coincide with my travel plans and crash my party :)
I'm sure it's not going to be any easy feat to get tickets but there are 2 dates to choose from (or both) and like I said..... scalpers. I don't like it but I'm prepared to go there.
Hahaha now leave the poor lady at the reservation desk alone!
I guess I'll pack my 2007 tour tshirt just in case. Hopefully see you guys there.
"The Las Vegas dates are now confirmed by the band's management and everyone involved to be Friday, April 27th, and Saturday, April 28th. Now, you guys can leave that poor woman at the reservation desk alone."
I was laughing my ass off when i read this...cuz its facking true!!! Damn Tool fans are dedicated!!! No joke!!!

Definitely keep an eye on the TDN ticket hookup. I think Briznitch managed to get a ticket that way. Also check out http://www.craigslist.org and click Las Vegas, then search under Tickets. Lotta people unload tickets last minute there.
Speaking of Briznitch, if we can all let bygones be bygones, I foresee some drinks for TDN that night! I will cruise by the Palms sportsbook earlier before Friday's show so I will be around.
