Just shut the fuck u already, Jesus Christ man. Nothing you say has any logic WHATSOEVER. You ask if we don't see the Grudge as being related to the right and left brain hemispheres but then your reasoning is you throw together all sorts of random bullshit where 90% is some shit you pulled out of your ass, 9% is about a different song altogether and then the remaining 1% is maybe the song title of the Grudge that you actually got correct along with maybe a line or two from the song itself.

it's all right there. i gave you the lyrics within the grudge, and then a description of the left-hemisphere's main functions. perfect match. i continued the theory by matching it's reflection ...the patient ...to the loving, abstract, intuitive, and eternally aesthetic right-hemisphere. yet another perfect match. THEN!!! i related BOTH of these within the whole "i KNOW the pieces fit" ...so that you might be able to say to yo-self "well, i'll keep digging 'til i FEEL something". perfect. stinkfist/schism videos symbolizes unification and enlightenment, through fierry explosions and color ...by the end of BOTH of those videos > whole-brain. just like the 10,000 days album liners. black/white net of being ...to spectral net of being. 100% logical. basically the two poles of the ONE mind had come together, realizing the holy trinity, central flame, tetrahedron, great pyramid, unconditional one*. this stupid theory of mine has run 'round circle sooooo many goddamn times (and i'm serious, i could go on for awhile with these "perfect" connections).

why am i pushing this perception? am i really the only one thinking this? not at all. video commentary "is this your brain on tool?" ...look, if you're not going to take such subtle hints, or at least wonder WHY that needed to be said ...then how do you ever expect the domino chain-reaction mobius strip ankh effectfect to completely fuck you up? That made absolutely NO fucking sense, and it's the best impression I've seen yet. =-)

teehee. i also think it's ironic that my sanity came into question during a thread entitled "am i crazy or..."

sometimes it's right there in front of 'em.

but no. i can't even begin to believe that we're dichotomizing anything. this is the internet, and we really don't know who each of us are. therefore, i mean, i would suppose that because of this fact there shouldn't be any specific reference points in which to point the finger from. and yet... idk, i just don't get it. anyways, this perspective has been presented enough, and i doubt you'll purposefully ignore it in order to spite me - but if it never comes to be, then so be it. i'm just that little voice that says "hey, guys ... maybe this as well?" - so, whatever. the idea has been planted. i certainly hope you enjoy whatever may sprout.

if anyone on this forum has any questions... i'll be pleasantly surprised.

Of course. Tool represents a group of men and not an individual so you would say Tool address, just as you would say "they" address. I would, however, definitely capitalize Tool when referring to the band.

I think if MA used proper puncuation and grammar in presenting his complex, scattered, and inter-connecting ideas, that it really wouldn't make much difference as the Bash Clique would continue flaming him regardless. I sure would appreciate it though!

The talking monkey thing represents humans who haven't fully evolved from their beast-like mentalities does it not? How does him calling you crazy after you spur forth garble slightly reflect at what the song "Right in Two" is about? Tool is a band, not a... life force, really stop quoting them in every post.

And people wonder why Maynard is harsh on his fan base.

we are the talking monkeys. we sit around naming shit, quantifying reality through science (as if it needed to be numerated), and have since forgotten the elegant ebbs and flows inherent throughout nature. we now need to see in order to believe. it used to be different. the cold anchors of science, government, education, dogma ...are no longer as relevant. things are happening. beautiful things. and change is the way. it's an ocean of chaos. hostile. calling me crazy because he's hung up in his own subjective reality does nothing; it's an empty gesture. you're trying to keep me in line or something? we're all a little crazy in our own ways. i mean, otherwise we'd all be robotic clones without any sense of novelty, right?

Well what is the purpose of dissecting Tool songs, taking a line out of a sentence and applying it to something utterly irrelevant? I don't see your logic at all.

i'm starting from the left-hemisphere. that's why. a lot of us are trapped there. again, see it to believe it. but "faith can heal you"? i started wondering (right hemisphere) about that ...which sent me into the the downward spiral of general bewilderment ...the same spiral the male character makes out of the female's head within the schism video. it fascinates me, and i only want to broaden such an imagination and thirst for innovation. now i know (left) the pieces fit. ;)

Thinking and analyzing about things are not functions of the right brain--but of the left. So you're calling us lefties while further establishing yourself as a left-mode thinker. Also, look around the rest of these forums. You are calling poets, painters, drawers and film makers left-brained thinkers, when they seem to use a perfect balance.

You on the other hand appear to have either smacked your head on a cinder block or are infact a senile being.

Forge a blade and beat your brother down.

Don't you silly monkeys realize that Eden has enough to go around?

I'm not sure that Maynard would be an asshole to him, as much as he would be an asshole to those that choose to forge their blade and beat him down.

So what if he rambles? So what if it makes no sense to you? So what if you disagree?

Is there not room in Eden for him to exist? Or do you have to divide it in two by exiling him?

There are really only about 5 or 6 people that post regularly here. A few others come and go. New ones come in, get bashed, get bored, and don't come back. Maybe because the regulars are silly monkeys forging blades of grade school wit and insults?

Instead of reading his post, deciding you think he's an idiot, then moving on to something productive, you all feel the need to perpetuate silly back and forth insults.

On the other hand, I guess if there must be enough room for him to exist, then there must be room for you pwners to exist as well.

I should take my own advice and stop reading these forums expecting some intelligent conversation to come along as one would think they should find in anything related to Tool, the band, and the consistenetly missed message.

Now smite me almighty smiterz!!!

It's ok, we know that's how you truly feel. It's sad that after befriending us that you would actually back someone up as fucking stupid and unstable as iAMTHEMa who's clearly not all there in the head. At least we know where you stand, now get back to your side of the line and turn in your jersey.

Well I wasn't backing him persay...

It's just that all the negativity gets to me from time to time...

Shouldn't we all be improving everything around us?

Help show him the way...

Of course, if he chooses to "pull the trigger"...he should do it "somewhere far away from here".

and i'm not calling you all lefters for not understanding this theory. that's ridiculous. i think that we're all much more well-rounded and balanced than we give ourselves credit for. ...we just hafta open up a little more and admit to certain things ...whatever they may be.

hey, i just thought of this idea .... "lay off the acid, dickhead. no puzzle here." know what i'm talking about? considering the lyrics of sober (i don't think i need to copy/paste 'em from my diary or whatever), couldn't this imply that there's a natural evolution to our deoxyribonucleic acid? kinda like say: "give away the stone...and let the waters kiss and transmutate..." just an idea. what do ya think?

For someone that nonchalantly quotes so many lyrics, the least you could fucking do is get them right.

I think its hard not to fall for iAMTHEMa's amazing charismatic abilities. The way he weaves parables is not only amazing but also jaw dropping and inspiring. If he doesn't put out self-help DVD's than I am certain he is not living up to his full potential. So I don't feel as bad being converted by such a word smith.

If he doesn't put out self-help DVD's than I am certain he is not living up to his full potential. So I don't feel as bad being converted by such a word smith.

"a whole lot of nothing"? At least IF we have "nothing to say" we use only one or two sentences at a time. Not one or two pages at a time like you use to say nothing.

alright, seriously...

are we done hashing out the possibility that i'm a nut case and this is a really "off" interpretation of tool's art? i mean, can we start cross-examining the idea already? how doesn't it make sense? how aren't all of those references as clear as day? is it because you're holding onto other ideas? ...'cause let me make this clear, i'm not out to convert anyone, i'm not trying to pin this down as the end-all translation, and i shouldn't be such a threat that you can't simply reply with consideration, respect, and decency. i mean, there are layers and layers within their music, and i'd really like to get beyond anything we've ever thought of before (while taking it all along). again, and terrence mckenna demanded ...novelty! this avenue inspired me to change from someone who had barely graduated a public high school, had no higher power, spent five years in shit jobs behind a grill, had no inspiration for any sort of direction in my life ...to someone who found spirituality (from within, "no middle man required") and wants to be able to draw everything he sees, create TM/SG-oriented art, play guitar/bass/drums/vox (i've an acousti-tool project, heh), map out wide-region biocommunities, hike the long trail, go to college, become a shaman (or holistic healer), knit, run, travel, and live off-grid in an eco-friendly and loving commune. in addition to marijuana (you bet!), i thank tool for allowing me to align myself towards all of these things and more ...much more to come. so, yeah, as i've said before: "if it's not all there, i suppose then that i am happily going insane". but try it out, i think it might be worth your while. i feel like i even owe it to you or something. ...which sounds weird and egotistical. but it's more like "sharing is caring". and i love you all.

I appreciate what you are trying to do, but you do not stop and allow input from others and your way of interpreting the song is done in such a nonsensical format that we do not follow it at all. In fact, we just see blabbering of someone who seems not right and the head, which is why you've built up this nut case persona. We are not inside your head Iamthelamb, so we do not understand what you are saying just because you do. Please type your wording in a format that we can follow (avoid doing this).

When you are talking about one song, don't go pulling random lines from another song about a different thing! I can take lines from a Stephen King novel and then say that there is a hidden undertone, proven by following up a random line from Winny the Pooh. It just doesn't work that way.

And for future reference, use the enter key, it'd make you much more bearable.

no, look. i totally see that inner cares. and you're all at least concerned enough to feign interest. and thank you for the criticism, i'll try to work on presenting parallels and quotations. i suppose it sucks that i only respond to the haters, but there have been some insightful remarks from all sides ... whatever.
