Hi! I know we all listen the new album which is great, but i want you all to take a little trip to the past. Yeasterday i did small experiment with sychronizations of Tool music with Brothers Quay movie, the effect is great, at least to me :)
So what you need to do is:
Make a playlist with 'Third Eye' as the first track and 'Triad' as second. Then play movie 'Street Of Crocodiles' by Brothers Quay and at the same time play those tracks by Tool...and now just enjoy the show, it's over 20 mins trip through great sound and visuals. Ofrourse it does not fit perfectly but there's still a lot of moments that make this 'video' nice to watch and the most important thing, they finish almost at the same time !!! Just try it, Street Of Crocodiles is available on the web no matter legal/illegal ways ;)
First of all welcome. What is Street of Crocodiles like/about?
"The Quays’ masterpiece, STREET OF CROCODILES is adapted from a short story by Bruno Schulz, and was their first film shot on 35mm. A museum keeper spits into the eyepiece of an ancient peep-show and sets the musty machine in motion, plunging the viewer into a nightmarish netherworld of bizarre puppet rituals among the dirt and grime."
That's what google says ;) From my point of view or better Tool-fan point of view it's stop-motion picture in style and techigue very similar to 'Sober' video, i think Adam has been very very influented by this one and other Quay movies. 'Third Eye' lyrics may do not fit very well but it seems to be good intro to the whole intrigue and when puppet rituals begin together with 'Triad' i feel some kind of goose-flesh on my neck :)
