Today I abide
To hear the voices in my head-
Or the general vicinity,
Not that there's any actual words said.
Just a kind of huge resonance.
Vibrations.
Pulsation.
A kind of push, and pull-
And steady in between.
Two currents merging
In one stream
Some kind of swirling
Around some unseen center-
If you know what I mean...
Today I'll abide
And quit talking
Won't say a word to anyone
But I'll talk to myself-
Trying to pronounce some syllable
Not desire...

To me this rings of an in-depth exploration of the self...though one that has faint whispers at all time. We generally brush away the stereotypical "conscience" as a nuisance and hindrance on decision-making, or even just in the occasional appearance of this choir residing within the mind. When you twist the spout and allow the flow to release the pressure, it's almost a rush at first...their sound pounds against the inner walls of the mind. Eventually it becomes a bit more tolerable and you drift through the current of vibrations, absorbing everything you can. There's no need for any consideration really, just acceptance. No desire is present to pry at you and tear you away from the symphony of love and joy that resides within your own existence.
