You can pay extra to have it rushed, when I looked a couple of weeks ago the lead time was 60 days (without rush.)

Here is the site with the info:

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

Im starting to get worried about the New Orleans and Houston dates. I want to go to both, however they have yet to be on Ticketmaster. Will those dates be up by Friday?

Supppooooossedly... I've heard that they are now allowing the option of printing a passport CARD rather than a BOOK. Apparently they have a much faster turn around from application to Passport in your hand. Look into that. Otherwise, as kanaduh said, get one now, and you may want to expedite it.

Have you tried checking out the website for the venue itself? That may actually be a better route, sometimes you can avoid the enormous ass-rape charge for a slightly smaller and well lubed ass-rape charge.

You've got plenty of time. ;)

Current processing time for regular passport application is 4-6 weeks, while expedited service is 2-3 weeks. I put in an expedited application for a passport in early February for an international trip in late February and I received the passport in one week.

Do it as soon as possible so you don't have to pay the extra $60 to expedite it. You'll have to apply in person if it's your first time. See instructions here: http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/first/first_830.html

TM does web updates on Thursdays, if they are not up0 by then - worry.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

Our friends over at Fourtheye are saying there is still a Seattle show in the works and that it could be at the Key Arean or at The Gorge.

There is no way they would drive all of those semi-trucks and huge tour buses down interstate 5 and pass right by seattle, especially when there are two days in between on a weekend

c'mon Seattle!!!!!!

Fri 7/9 - Vancouver, BC @ GM Place

Saturday 7/10 George,WA @ The Gorge

Sunday 7/11 Dive to San Fran

Mon 7/12 - San Francisco, CA @ Bill Graham Civic

Longest distance between any two tour dates already annouced 949 miles between Vancouver, BC and San Francisco, CA, they have to come to Washington

no idea about NOLA but I was looking into Houston as a possible and I don't know if it will be a TM thing as I found this link via the venue website:
http://www.houstontoyotacenter.com/e...event_1001.php

so maybe that ends up a TM link (but it sure doesn't look like it) when it goes active or maybe it's for an in house tkt system or some other type.

good luck.

Yes, last time they played at Toyota Center, I think in 07, the tickets were sold directly from the site above, just get ready for it to crash. It took me about 40 min to get one 2 ticket purchase through.

Seattle to SF sounds like a painful amount of miles on the lumbar-support.

This is what Southwest is for :D

Fucking eh.

People don't realize how awesome Southwest Airlines is. They saved me a ridiculous amount of money last summer. Most of my flights from city to city were CHEAPER than the actual Tool concert ticket.

Maybe folks up North don't, but SWA sells out almost every flight. The cat is out of the bag down here..

I know because I fly them every week :)

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

Im still convinced those bastards almost killed me last summer the morning of the Salt Lake City show. Fucking plane started teetering back and forth pretty violently when we were seconds from touching down in SLC, then the pilot cancelled the landing and went up again right after touching down.

seriously shit the bed.

in other news - any word of the opening band? I remember last summer they said Opeth was the "second place" consideration. Maybe they get the nod this time?

seriously shit the bed.

in other news - any word of the opening band? I remember last summer they said Opeth was the "second place" consideration. Maybe they get the nod this time?
That wasn't the plane brotha, that was the updrafts of the summertime north american thermal low in action. Rising air makes for a fun ride, especially in a valley surrounded my mountains. It only has one place to go: Up!

"Go arounds" aren't as rare as you might think. If you got gusted off the centerline, I'm sure that was the reason for the missed approach. I've always wanted to be in one of those. Then you'd feel the real power of those glorified hair driers underneath the wing. Plus, it keeps the pilots sharp ;)

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

Yeah, you're probably right.

For what it's worth - SLC was by far the lamest of all the cities I visited last year.

Hey, I'd say Tool fans know a bit more about planet Earth than your average, well...nevermind. I give the meathead section too much credit.
