Re: 2006/09/22 - Detroit, MI - Palace of Auburn Hills

I'm here. I cant wait. I'm hoping for another Michigan Tour Date but One is better than None. I cant wait. I have been to The Palace few times. I have been to a Piston game and an A perfect circle show. I'm hoping the floor has seats, If not i know exactly where i want to sit.

...floor will probably not have seats.

this will hopefully not sell out in under 2 minutes so some of the actual fans can have a chance of getting tickets.

It's an arena show. It wont sell out for a while after release. You have to get them right away to get the best seats though.

Don't fool yourselves. It will sell out within minutes of release. Been to over 20 shows, same result every time. Be ready, good luck, hope to see you all there.

Re: 2006/09/22 - Detroit, MI - Palace of Auburn Hills

Any clue when tickets go on sale? Anyone here ever get presale tickets from the Tool pay site?

Anywho, I can't wait to see them at the Palace. The Fox was just a taste of their amazing visually stunning killer show. I can't wait to see/hear a longer set and The awesome videos that go along with it. I wonder if they did anything cool, visually, with the new songs like they did with Lateralus (The Grudg and crazy chomping skulls).

Whoever knows when the tickets go on sale please post ASAP.

The floor will probably not have seats, but instead be general admission, which is fine with me.

BS.

I know when i saw Tool inm 2002 at the Breslin Center which holds less for a concert than the palace i got tickets two weeks before the show. Your right be ready if you want the top notch seats which i do.

I hate pits and i know where the best seats are for concerts at the palace because when i saw apc there i scoped out the best seats once i was there.

The best have to be 102, 101, 112, or 113.

I hate pits, but it's not like the whole floor is going to be one big pit. Im just going to buy tickets and try to get close without being in a pit.

Good luck not getting in the pit. You will be far away. The seats i had for the system of a down show at the joe were amazing. Those areas i listed at the palace are just like where i sat at the system of a down show.

Re: 2006/09/22 - Detroit, MI - Palace of Auburn Hills

this is awsome.

this show is on a friday and the next day they are playing toronto.
i am going to try to go to both!

would you rather have them play the Palace or DTE?

summer concerts at DTE are always fun but I suppose tool may be better in the palace just cause it gets dark in there and it would probably make it more....intense.

they are playing outdoors in toronto though.

Wow, I have a soccer match that night at 7:30 and I can't miss it. Let's just say this show starts at 8 sharp, when do you think Tool would hit the stage?

I'm gonna say 9:00 PM. Isis will probably be on 40 Minutes at the most and then 20 minutes set change. Of course i'll be at the door to get in at 7:00 but if you really cant miss the soccere match then 9:00 at the latest.

Fake sick or something. lol.

The last time I saw them at the Palace (Sept 16, 2001), I got my tickets a couple of weeks after they went on sale.

Is it better to sit in a section like 102, 101 etc or is it better to get on the main floor where there are no seats? THanks

If you dont mind moshing then do the pit. I have a muscle disease so it's hard for me to do that plus i get exhausted a dehydrated really easy so for me 101,102,112, or 113 is the best option.

I had seats similar to those at the joe when i saw soad and the seats were awesome.

But it's up to you. If you feel like you can push your way to the front of the stage and hold your ground get main floor i guess but If you want to relax and chill with Awesome seats get 101,102,112, or 113.

Cant do no wrong.

This is my first post on these boards....

I'm looking forward to this! It'll be my first Tool show after nearly 10 years of them being pretty much all I listen to on a regular basis.

Has anyone heard anything about a set list? I saw the list for the overseas shows, which looked damn good to me.

I'll try and record it, yeah. No guarantee, but I'll try.

How early are you guys standing in line to get tickets, or are you getting them online at 10 A.M. on-the-dot?

online. this is not a mini theatre tour and i dont think we will have any problem getting tickets. auburn hills is not a chicago or la type market so the good seats wont be gone in a minute. you should be able to get good seats any time in the first day but to make sure get on right at 10:00.

the palace website says they go onsale the 22nd. lol. They are available the 22nd. Those are just ticket broker sites that have them availablr and the brokers dont even get them in there hands untill they go on sale at ticketmaster.

Well I would like to get up close in the pit, but the problem is that I don't want to stand the whole time. I am thinking that for people to get up close, they need to stand through isis and everything. You might be right, it would probably be easier to get beer or go to the bathroom if I had seats. Thanks for the info

I mean you could sit on the floor during isis if you do it at the way back but then you would have to push yourself a long way to get back to the front.

Great, there is no way I can go to this damn show. A show in Ohio is out of the question also.

Someone please make my day...will Tool probably have another US tour before they call it quits and break for the new album again?
