I'm not sure how my math is on this, but at 5.76% of stores counted, and 47,539 albums sold, then - assuming the trend continues, which is a big ask - that would predict that over 825,300 CDs have been sold?
I'd weigh in with my own prediction here, but I have no idea how Americans work, so I won't :)

It fluctuates. Some bigger retailers submit theres first. It was estimated at around 600,000 copies sold so it will be around the 575,000 - 625,000 Area.

When Pearl Jam VS came out it sold 1 million in 7 days and it was the fastest selling CD of all time....(I think N'Sync ended up beating that...but whatever). Anything even close to that (as far as I know) would put it miles beyond anything they've done before...within the first week that is.
