Sorry if this has been discussed, but I am curious as to how many copies of 10,000 Days has been sold in certain areas, and globally. Does anyone know who or where I would go to find this out?

Yes, I suppose I could wait 12 more hours or so until Tool announce the album has gone Platinum....but I just cant wait that long...or can I?

Also, does anyone know how soon Lateralus went Platinum?

Lateralus sold 557,000 in the first week or something like that. Not sure how much longer it took to hit one mil.

As of August 5, 2003, Lateralus has been certified double platinum by the RIAA. And it has reached it's peak at 2.3 million to date.

Thank you Haidar!

I was basically wondering if 10,000 Days will out-do Lateralus in the first week. My initial response is...Yes, yes it will. Generally because I think there is more hype for this one.

Not sure yet, but I picked up the album tonight at midnight at Hastings, and they had to have around 300 copies on hand alone. The line was out the door for the album. I'd say a million the first week easy.

Yeah, the bitches at my hastings made me wait while they stocked the shelves. Awww...how sad. I think it will sell more the first week than lateralus. Maybe.

I'm guessing the packaging alone will sell more copies than Lateralus. This album just stands out in a wall of others. The case has a mystery to it. I bet some will buy it only for the case if they've ever heard of TOOL at all.
