So any speculation as to what we're going to hear on this mini tour?

Personally I hope there is less 10k days and more older stuff. Would give my husbands left nutt for something from Opiate. He doesn't need them anymore anyway.

I also want to hear Pushit... I'll hold my breath if I have to.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)

Those Puscifer YouTube clips don't give the performances any justice. Maynard was spot-on vocally at those shows. His voice resonated beautifully and you could tell that he's experimenting with new vocal styles. I actually think Maynard's live versions of old tracks such as Pushit & Flood during the 10K days tour were an improvement over the originals or live performances from a decade ago. There's this deeper more intense quality to his voice now that syncs up perfectly with Adams low-end passages and Danny & Justin's double bass hits. Pushit in San Diego 07 was the pinnacle of this perfect harmony. It works. We should consider ourselves lucky that his voice works to such an extent today. Just look at some metal bands like Slipknot and Avenged Sevenfold. Both of those lead singers have already undergone one or multiple vocal cord surgeries and they're younger than Maynard, in one case by quite a bit. To each their own though. The high=pitch Tori Amos singing Nard is dead - get over it.

Agree 100% abou the Puscifer shows, I caught 3 of the 5 shows and MJK was spot on. I think being happy to play new material had something to do with it but I think the biggest factor is not having to project to a large sports arena sized audience.

+1 on the Maynard sounding good at the Puscifer show. At least the one I saw here in LA. It's probably accurate to say Puscifer does not challenge Maynard's range as much as certain Tool songs. But his voice still sounds fine and emotionally it still resonates much like it always did.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)

I'm up in the 200's for Manchester, but at least I'm in the building. Really, I expect the 10K Days set mixed up with 2 or 3 different songs added into the Wings slot. I would also expect the lighting/stage design to be similar as well. Junior could help us out on that one. It seems to me there hasn't been a lot of time to really change things up drastically and there aren't enough dates to justify a new, full production. Also, Maynard is probably going to have about a weeks worth of rehearsals between the wine signings and his first show. So 10K Days tour minus Wings, plus 3. This is a bonus tour as I far as I'm concerned, so it's all good.

I'm in 219. I hammered ticketmaster.com as hard as I could, but still couldn't get tickets any closer. It looks like the seats are near the stage, but high up in the air. So it could be worse, I suppose.

how exactly do you hammer ticketmaster? you have to wait like everyone else and type the little bull shit picture code in before you get your tickets. sometimes ticketmaster releases good seats in chunks throughout the course of time until the concert, I've bought tickets online from them the day of a show that were on the floor because they re release them, sometimes because promoters put they're share of the tickets out there for their own profit and it's more fair to the people who aren't in the fan club.

My girlfriend and I went on TM at the same time, I ended up about 10 seconds ahead of her and got the floor tickets while she ended up with something in the 200s. Needless to say she canceled her tickets and we stuck with mine. I find it hard to believe that TM really sticks to "best available," unless it is possible that the whole lower level sold out in a matter of seconds.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)

The Manchester sale was all kinds of screwed up. I was trying to get tickets as of 12:00 and had about 15 attempts where it either told me nothing at all was available and then seats in the 200s. When I searched for a single ticket, I got GA instantly. I know someone who bought three single GA tickets in a row because searching for multiple ones wasn't working. Oh well, I'm going, but TM needs to get its act together.

For the ATL show goers: where can I get parking nearby for free? is there a mall of sorts I can park at and then walk over? And where do most people tailgate in this area?

Posted about it about a ten pages ago but nobody replied, so here I go again.

I have two 302 tickets for the TORONTO show. I'm selling them at face value, free shipping. I bought the tickets before they announced the Manchester gig, and that is much closer to me, so I'm going to that show instead. I really need to get rid of the Toronto tickets...

If you are interested email me : [email protected]
Hopefully someone will show up... I really don't want to have to deal on eBay.

Got Section 203 Row H. Looks like they are second row as the section is only about half as many rows due to a walkway underneath. Ctr Stage!

the cincy show is nice since there is only like 4 or 5,000 seats. not quite the theater shows, but still cool.

i think this is like show 20 or 21. somewhere there abouts.

if you go to pnc's website you can count to what seat you have. start with the inside row according to ticketmasters seating chart.

looks like you are on the far side of the gap, but closer to the gap than the edge.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)

I scored three seats in a row, Sec.102, for Cinci.
Two friends + myself and my husband, all with our own accounts, loaded shortly after @ 10:00am... it took FOREVER to load the pages. First friend latched onto Sec.200, which we were going to snag since my husbands page locked up while waiting in line; mine was still refreshing with 1-3 minute [variable] wait time... then, miraculously, I loaded up with three for 102. I hooted and hollered like Mrs. Wall-Street, or some intercom broad at the Kentucky Derby. Additional good-buddy finally loaded around 10:10, pulled nothing. After my snag, I fiddled with the wait line and saw singles in the 200s. Nothing for doubles or triples. Did that a few times, got bored. Then excited, and now I'm tired. LOL!

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)

I just paid $400.00 dollars for 2 tickets to the Cinncinati Tool show on 8/7/2009 at MyCityRocks.com. That is fucking rediculous not even including travel expenses. Tool really has their fans by the balls as far as spending money goes. However the seats are great Section 101, Row K I am loving that part.
