I remember the days when with 10 minutes to go id be happily waiting on line outside riteaid. I could be anywhere in the line and I knew there was no problem and as long as I wasnt all the way in the back of the line, I would get great seats. Now with 10 minutes to go I want to throw up becuase if I dont act faster then the speed of light (or even if I do) i might get shafted thanks to the simply evil ticket buying process...
edit- because im really tired and I wrote the speed of time when I meant the speed of light

yes i much prefer lining up, it beats this! I've never lined up and not gotten ga tickets. The awesome thign was in my local area no ones into the music i like so you just turn up at 6am for a 9am sale and you'd definitely get ga...
woo hoo! 13th row on the floor. might have gotten even better but it took me a few seconds of looking at the seating options to realize it had floor SEATING and not floor GA (which I do not like for TOOL shows)
i had freaking FLOOR tickets for Tool and i couldn't even buy them errr i'm soo pissed off right now.
Stupid will call and not having my own credit card

why don't you just use TicketFast? The tickets print out on your printer and you just bring them with you. Is that not an option for overseas purchases?

I just got Section B, row 30. Not bad, but I've still got 2 more friends to get tickets for, and their new waiting in line system was a surprise and a half
Damnit i didnt get great tickets but i didnt get bad I have section 205 row E seats 7-12...floor was sold out except for the last row or 2 in a2 and c2 and those seats i dont like
eh, not terrible, depends what section you're in. At least you get a full view of the stage and lighting show. Of course depending on where your seats actually are.

Section 114. it looks to be on the left of Section C2. I'm looking at coldplay's seating chart cause i can't find Tool. are they the same

The only difference between coldplay's and the normal end stage plot is that for the end stage, the seats wrap around. But i assume since Tool is heavy on their lighting shows and using video screens etc. so they prolly wont be wrapping around the back.

i am a very happy camper. I got two tix for me and my girl in Section C1 row 13. Too bad there was no GA like for the camden show. But these tix are great and i can't complain. Has anyone been to the coliseum when there is floor seating? How does this end up working out? Do people rush and try to get in between rows? Thanks in advance for any info.

Good lord....
So i was sitting there manning THREE computers, ready to look for tix for Nassau, East Rutherford, and Hartford. Ended up with floor seats for Jersey, and decent seats for Hartford, bot the browser on the damn laptop wouldn't buy into ticketmaster's "waiting in line" refreshing, so it ended up taking me like 15 minutes to use the other computer to find Nassau Tickets. Wound up with section 203, row H, seats 13-14. Can't complain, I'll be there SEEING them. Still, I'm a greedy bastard and hoping for more dates to be released.

ok well somehow most of you managed floor/lower seats...i was online at 10 am and had to wait "15 min in line"....
so, with that said, i managed to get 2 seperate pairs of tix...
325 row A ( right neat the stage, but far up....however, it is the 1st row of the section)...
214 row G
so my question is, even though i've been to nassau like 3 times before, i cant really remember how big it is or if the upper level are good to see a show.......which pair is "better"???
ticketmaster blows.. guess you can tell it's my first time dealing with them.. here's a tip to all you people who don't know any better (like i didn't).. it's better to buy tickets at a retail outlet IF and ONLY IF you are the first person on line..
it was a nightmare buying tickets online at nycitycenter (not available via ticketmaster).. took me over an hour (granted i'm still kicking myself for having left when i was there at 5 am passing by the area).. so i figure this time i'll go in person to get tickets..
well i get to the wall st area j&r at 9:15 (store opens at 9:00), i didn't trust FYE's that open at 10 when tickets go on sale then (who knows how long it takes for them to open up, get the ticket ordering systems ready, etc).. but i was already the 4th person on line.. it was this cool philipino rocker kid who's been to like a whole range of rock concerts, this bald chinese guy who liked to joke around and was into tool and apc, and this pimp-style black guy.. gee, spot the scalper!! "one of these 4 doesn't belong.. " uhm. so anyway, guess who was first.. scalper guy!
well as it turns out, #1 on the line, our likely scalping buddy, got 4 tickets together on the floor.. ran out of money to get a 5th ticket..
now the second guy, got floor seats 20 rows back.. and he's only 2nd on the line!
when i finally got to the counter, twice i had the tickets i thought were not that bad be taken away from me before i could purchase them.. i ended up waiting 20 minutes to find two seats together that weren't all that decent anymore (there was no one behind me in line)
so here's the lesson i learned: unless you're first, don't bother going in person.. you have ZERO advantage being there in person unless you're #1 on the line.. i guess the over the counter ticket sales are best mostly for people without internet access (or dumb like me)
sorry if you knew this already but this was a rude awakening and so i ended up getting two single floor seats at nassau for my gf but not together, and two for CAA on the 2nd level :-\
i need advice.....

Here's a neat site that has venue views for most sports venues.. personally i think playing at a sports venue is rather dumb considering it's designed for a large area of possible action (like a hockey game where you can take more of it in if you're not right up front), for concerts you WANT to be as close as possible.. but i guess they use it because it sits a lot of people

You can go here to see a view from each section in the virtual seating tour.

Granted, they all point to "center ice", but they give you an idea.
