I think the latest rumour that i found in some street press, was that Tool was expected in Australia around September, so i would imagine that you Kiwi's should have them just before or just after us, that would be nice of them anyway.

those NZ dates were cancelled sorry to say. it's doesnt look like they'll make it there this time around, maybe 2011?
you can always go to an australian show.

Billboard magazine's article (posted elsewhere) made it pretty clear that after touring Japan, the band would come back to the states, and said nothing of an intervening Australian tour. I imagine winter/early spring (from a northern hemisphere point of view) is the earliest you guys could expect a tour.
It might be easier (and chealer LOL) to just go to a gig in Japan!
they always say in interviews they really like NZ... i bet theyll book some dates there

Re: When will Tool tour near (city/state/country)?
I have heard a lot of BDO 2007 rumours unfortunately. Like most of you I'd rather not see one of my favourite bands in a BDO environment. It's a fun day but it's also tiring and you know you'll end up hearing a greatest hits set with minor production. I'm also getting a bit older now and my legs give out on me by the end of the day!
I wonder if The Boy From Oz holding Rod Laver Arena during much of August had anything to do with there being no Australian tour then, although I guess they could have played at Vodafone Arena instead.
Does anyone know when the warm-up ends and the full tour begins? I saw Tool at download this year and it rocked balls but I want to see them again. Does this full tour include the UK? I know I've asked on here before but I never got an answer.
Cheers.

Not sure but i remember Danny saying that there will be an official full tour after the "warm up tour" theyre doing atm. Not sure of the dates tho. But its a fact that the current tour is a warm up tour.

After the second Hammersmith gig, Maynard said "We'll see you in November." This plus that article, which said tool were scheduling their tour around the wine harvest season, means they'll probably take a break towards the end of September for a few weeks, and then start touring again towards the end of October. But that's just my guess.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they've been to Dublin on previous tours.

can anyone tell me that the current tool tour, is it for real, are they still practicing as such. cause the set lists are short and are all simular to one another. if they were practicing before starting their main tour, wouldnt their set lists be different from one another.
im from australia, so when they come i hope they play some songs like, third, pushit, flood, H, 10,000 days etc. but it seems that thats not likley with there current set list tour.
At concerts they are only 5-10 minutes shorter then Lateralus tour.
In the fall they are bound to change their list I think. However, the Lateralus-Vicarious-Ænema ending is perfect.
As good as it is, I honestly hope they jetison most of the older material and perform all of 10,000 Days. Especially Wings/10,000 Days, which they have yet to do live.

Have faith that the Fall/Spring Tour (or Summer/Fall tour most likely for us in Aus) will be more expanded...they now have 5 albums' worth of material to choose from...by all rights it should be more special than the Lateralus tour!
Oh and I say Summer/Fall tour for Aus because I just saw them in Roskilde on Saturday, and they said 'see you in november'...so my guess...it'll be a US/European Fall tour, before they head down to Aus early next year or in March/April like last time.
This is the stupidest thing i've ever seen, combining all tour-related questions in one thread!? now its just a big mess, and everytime i see that its been updated its never related to the things i originally posted....

anyone know where i can get some pictures or videos of recent shows for 10k days? it would be greatly appreciated.
I have my entire set of photos from the Rock im Park show up on my Photobucket site, and took another set of photos from Roskilde last weekend which I will also upload as soon as I have some time to do so...
What's up with the fall tour. They keep on saying over in Europe, "See you in November." Well with Maynard's grape harvest in mind, that doesn't give much time for a fall tour in the States. Anyone know what's up?

Maynard always says things like that and they don't end up coming back at the time they say. I remember the first show of the lateralus tour he said see you in Nov, they didn't come back until the following summer.
