Danny plays quarter notes the whole time while Adam does inherently UN-technical stuff and Justin plays nothing but old riffs. This leaked crap is OBVIOUSLY fake, lol.

Maybe I should clarify what I meant above. I'm not really sure whether this album is the whole thing or not. I don't really have an opinion. All I'm saying is that if you think this is the whole story just because the official sources told you so, you are a fucking idiot. The official sources have done nothing but fuck with the fans for the entire history of Tool. Do a search on this site and read about the old April Fools Day jokes. I'm not saying I think this will happen, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to go buy this album on May 2 and hear something that is different than the leak.

I think this is the real thing, but i wouldnt put it past them to leak a hoax. I like it, and personally think its "more toolish"(sorry for saying "toolish") than lateralus. every other tool cd has a sense of humor to it, mixed in with serious stuff. All this talk about "tool albums following order...steps" is CRAP. How many more highschool psychology/eastern religion songs do you want? Why does ANYONE think that MJK has the mysteries of the universe solved, and is revealing them to you for the low low price of $14.99? why do the lyrics have to be some metaphor to be valid and deep? since when has tool been mature? was it when rev. maynard was preaching about "the screams of the carrots?" lets face it- the members of Tool are all over the hill. they have grown, and changed as artists. And im so sick of the "5 years is too long for this" talk. they have not been working on this cd for 5 years! (and not the supposed REAL cd either) they have lives outside of Tool! Do you? They have other bands they perform and tour with, not to mention stores, vineyards and such. This album brings back what made me fall in love with Tool in the first place: emotion and humor. I for one will not be dissapointed on May 2, when i open up the cd case to find this album. If it is a hoax, i will treasure 10,000 days even more...because they pulled off the greatest prank ever. what will all the naysayers say? how many people will change their tune?

Here's a new spin that no one has mentioned yet. What if every song including vicarious is part of a bsides collection to be on the flip side of a double disc and the other side is totally new material. Everyone seems to think Vicarious is going to be on this other CD if it exists, which I hope does simply because I want all the music I can get. I think if there is another disc you will not find vicarious on it anywhere. I think it is limited to this release and we won't actually hear a single from the other side if it exists til the CD is out. I must say the sing on this CD are pretty damned good, and the lyrics are powerful, the CD is missing the holy shit moments every other Tool CD has. This CD is as great as any other Tool CD IMHO, but, it doesn't set a new standard for them like every other Tool CD has, they just met their old standards in some pretty weird ways. If there is another CD HELL YES, if there's not HELL YES. It's win-win we have new tool with the possibility no matter how slim of more new tool.
