i'm not gonna put my mind through a polling process in a feeble attempt of working out..and then justifying my choices.
on a side note i feel it is unfair to view salival as an album, as this usually causes it to be last in polls. Third eye/Pushit live anyone?

Aenema is a song, but Aenima is an album. I voted for Aenema even though it's a song.

Lateralus makes me mad lately. Aenima and 10K days haven't done that to me... ever.
Probably because of 3rd Eye and Rosetta Stoned...

Hmm, another one of these? I picked Lateralus this time, and I picked Ænima last time. I listened to Ænima hardcore the other day, and it blew my mind. Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Lateralus era shows and they were incredible live (and I can't get enough of the interludes like Eon Red Apocalypse, Fripp soundscapes, Osseus Labyrint, etc).
My old list:
1. Ænima
2. Lateralus
3. Salival
4. 10,000 Days
5. Opiate
6. Undertow
And now I think it's
1. Lateralus
2. Ænima
3. Undertow
4. Opiate
5. 10,000 Days
6. Salival
And it'll probably change tomorrow.

Lateralus, mainly because it was my first TOOL experience and it also has "The Patient", my all-time favourite song.

Man.. All I can say is if 3rd Eye and RS saved from being angry at the album, you should give another listen or 10 to Disposition/Reflection/Triad. Particularly, Reflection and Triad if you like those trippy wacked time signatures psychadelic guitar. Triad... come on man, honestly.

Personally I like "Undertow" because I think the vocals are outstanding, but it is hard to pick because the sound of each album is different.

lateralus-each song is epic
undertow-the songs never get old
opiate-heavy and angry
10,000days-its so mysterious and so many secrets are hidden in it
aenima- the only reason this is at the bottom is because there like 4 tracks that arene't really songs because its just noise or some guy talkin. AENIMA HAS AMAZING SONGS ON IT NEVERTHELESS!
