Fruit of the Serpent

For their eyes were opened,
For they realised,
Man was granted weakness,
Blessed with wicked wisdom.
Granted pleasure to be taken,
Granted law in which to break,
To appease the snake who coils the branches of Eden.

Give the jury a reason,
Find a loophole in this confession,
Why must you placate what passion and logic so strongly opposed?

Gullibility allowed this,
Curiosity allowed this,
The Lord God allowed this,
For his image is fundamentally flawed.

To blindly follow a predetermined path, is the greatest weakness gifted to all.

Damned to strike the heel

As you can see, these lyrics are a bit all over the place. This is merely a draft. This songs came to me through my scepticism prior to reading the book of Genesis.
