I got to see tool on Danny's birthday last year, and now I get to see them a day before, and he's going home the day after to play. so no playing on his birthday this year? bummer. It was fun singing happy birthday to Danny!

If Blair doesn't know about it, chances are it won't be put on the site.

Same thing happened to me, after about 30 minutes of the frustrating Ticketswest experience, I gave up. Went back at 11:45am local (almost 2 hrs after onsale time), tried and got a ticket on the side. Decided to see if I could get something more straight on, and got a slightly better seat. Tried a 3rd time... got a floor ticket. I'm sure it helped that I'm enough of a loser to only have the need to buy 1 ticket, haha.

This is not true. When the first round of dates went onsale, I was on right the second they went onsale. It was an automatic 25 minute wait. I was shocked that I still got decent seats. Floor was gone.

What he meant is that Ticketmaster doesn't crash. It can handle all requests, regardless of amount of waiting time customers have to endure.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)

Yeah ticketmaster can handle the requests. I totally hate the 2 minute system they have, though. I had one little thing fucked up when I filled it out the first time, and I lost 6 fucking floor-seats in section 4. I was so happy that I had managed to pull off the six floor seats then my world came crashing down when it was like "You fucked up on some blank, go back and waste some more time." Fuck YOU ticketmaster!

One thing you absolutely must do with Ticketbastard is have your account created and filled out in advance and be logged in before you look for tickets.

I can never rememeber my damn username and password. Very nerve wracking to watch the seconds tick by and the number of tries get used up as I enter various combos of names and passwords. Last time I just said fuckit and went to TM in a grocery store near my house and stood line with all the other tool crowd. Scoced some decent seats for Albuquerque just off the floor and close to a beer stand.

Ahh yes, those are Captcha codes. A great idea that works nicely most of the time, but some sites have it poorly executed.

Same thing happened to me.. I bought my ticket for Greenville the morning they came out, the first time I tried to get in I got right through, and had a ticket in the center of the 1st floor section, 15 rows back. I try to log into my account and ticketmaster decides to buttfuck me and take my ticket.

You have to live within a certain distance of the venue, and the ToolArmy staff will approach you with presale info. You do not get your pick of anything.

The http://www.toolband.com/tour/index.html tour page is currently a lot more comfortable too look at than this one.

I'm starting to get nervous about the northwest dates not being posted. Tour is scheduled on their site into july and nothing yet... Didn't I read they are gonna be in Europe by august?

on a side note, has anybody noticed that ozzfest has pretty much crap for bands this year?

The Sears Centre uses its own ticketing service. You buy through their website.

It's http://www.searscentre.com

If I had to guess... I think they would cary over Mastodon for part of the tour given Mastodon has only played with them overseas...

Then again... Adam said in an interview a few months ago that if he had his way Isis would open with them for every show.
- Isis also does not have any Summer dates scheduled as of yet... interesting/?/

...and if tool wants to spread the love a little, they might look at someone else altogether...

who knows...

Isis would be nice. I saw them when they were at the 40 Watt in Georgia, but the sound was pretty terrible in there. The Pearl would be a nice improvement!

My buddy just talked to Mastodon yesterday. He said they are not doing it.

You gotta think that any band that is on this tour would want people to know it by now so they can start promoting themselves.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)

With the Reno show being a Monday now I called the boxoffice to ask questions about the show time so I didn't miss TOOL. The ticket has a show time of 7:30 P.M. which is real early. The guy said there is an opener but he also did not know who it was? So I'm guessing there is an opener but not saying what he told me is correct ya never know?
Or with them playing the Roo maybe they had to get there set up to the 2 hour range to be a headliner. Every band that has headlined in the past has played 2 hours or more even 2 sets with a set break. Tom Petty's set from last year he played every song he was doing that tour to fill his set. This I know is a only a theory of mine but man if it goes down like this I'll be happy as heck with no opener.>

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)

I'm going to see Tool May 15th in Southaven which will be great. I found out yesterday that they'll be coming to Little Rock and it blew my fucking mind. They haven't been here for like 5 years. So I'm definitely going to the one in Little Rock as well. I haven't seen Ticketbastard post tickets yet, but I want floor tickets so fucking bad. It'll be my third show, and I'll have been in one of the bowls the two previous times (Dallas and Southaven).

I know this gets asked a lot here, but going through Ticketmaster, what's the way I'd be most likely to snag some floor seats?

Also, I didnt know that you can have all your information ready before you purchase the tickets. A couple of you mentioned something about that. I only get tickets to Tool shows really, so I don't have a lot of experience with TM.

What's up with tdn not updating the tour page? This is a great place to meet like-minded people, but if you're looking for the latest news, it seems you have to go elsewhere.
