Thanks brother!
Here is the sold commission: https://i.imgur.com/KWpquWm.jpg
This one is available: https://i.imgur.com/8Hqvswh.jpg
I designed the logo from scratch, then had it 3D printed
The fluid acrylic paintings are coated in epoxy resin.

Where is the line for “bootlegged” items? T-shirts with ripped off images are against the law... and selling unlicensed music, I get that...but here’s where I’m at: starting to blow glass and inspired to sculpt Adam’s figures from some of the Tool posters. Maybe even incorporate a red heptagram into a functional piece... who knows? I’m kind of thinking out loud... but at what point can I get in trouble for overstepping copywriter or whatever?

You are fine.
Even if you sold something "inspired by," you won't run afoul of USA copyright laws.
Unless you brand it directly with TOOL you are in the clear.
Amazon and Ebay are chock full of literal bootleg rip offs. If they don't have time and energy to pull those down, fan art is safe.

I definitely won’t be using any logos or words even. I have some techniques I’m going to try to get the star into some pieces. I’d love to try and sculpt the double headed cyclops figure Adam drew for the 2009 Phoenix tour poster... stuff like that. I’ll be sure to keep y’all updated on my Toolish projects.
Lotus- maybe a trade once things start coming out of the kiln?

Man, I envy you folks with a creative outlet in these times, my acting troupe is on long term hiatus and my backup landscape photography could land me a $1000 ticket. 😔

Hang in there, brutha. Better times are coming... eventually. I am just grateful to still be gainfully employed and doing work I enjoy. Dunno how much longer it will last, but ok for now. And while I don't have the creative spark musically I once had, there is enough to keep me going. Today I have been listening to Maynard's audio book. It's pretty good!

on one hand: i wish we could get some dates for rescheduling. on the other: if they rescheduled for fall it would probably be rescheduled again to next year. small gripe, hope you are all staying healthy!

I'll be a little surprised if they can reschedule for 2020 - I think many promoters who are doing this already are jumping the gun a little. Though the situation here in Oz is probably somewhat different to that in the US, so who knows.

I don't think we'll see anything in the US until 2021 as concerts go. A lot of the big revenue states (CA) have already stated they aren't allowing concerts until there is a vaccine. I really think a lot of the people who have rescheduled tours for the Fall will end up rescheduling again.

Fer sure.
I wish canceled concerts were my biggest issue right now.

Fer sure.
I wish canceled concerts were my biggest issue right now.

I heard someone suggest Tool will follow suit with RATM’s tour postponement protocol as it was a mirror tour by same promoter and venues. Thoughts?

Not sure what you mean - haven't Tool already cancelled/postponed their tour dates? You mean they will reschedule their dates for 2021? I think that's more or less a given at this point in time - I don't see large gatherings being a thing for quite some time yet.

Same. I saw the ticket diagram of that concert in Arkansas that they are going to try and have...seems like a waste of time for the band, vendors, fans, etc...
I did see that the Bundesliga is going to start playing again, but I didn't see if that was without fans.

Meats Meier is the one in the suit in the video.
Also, does anyone know why ticketmaster still shows the OKC show as happening even though it's postponed? Very annoying as I would like to request the refund for it since I won't be living near there anymore.

Can you get a refund for the postponed shows? My show says postponed and I haven't found where to get it refunded

Given that tickets to Tool shows can be a shitfight, I'd be inclined to keep it unless you really need the coin.

Ticketmaster changed this policy starting in May where you can request refunds for postponed events. I've been able to request refunds for 5 of the 6 tickets I have (not all Tool). Tool is the only one I can't request as it doesn't even show that it's postponed.
I think the policy changed to 30 days after the show is postponed you can request, or if a new date was announced you have 30 days to request.

And I really don't at the moment. I was only planning on one show this summer, but sometimes the responsible adult in me says I need to see about getting my money back. The Tool fan always wins out over the responsible adult

Did the TM chat for the event and got this response -
"Sorry no update as of yet , it is not canceled or rescheduled"
Then they told me I had to wait on them to send an email out. Every other show on there is postponed so why is there a wait on this one?

How do I avoid the former while still engaging in the latter?

I kind of meant re-scheduling for same time next year, and announcing soon. That thought is outdated as they seem to be playing the “wait-and-see” card. I couldn’t imagine the logistical nightmare of all the tours, and venues, and promoters all trying to scramble and re-book cohesive tours that work for everyone financially without the stability of the airline industry or people’s disposable income. Here’s hoping they do anything at all in the next 5 years.

I hadn't thought of the logistical part of that, the airlines I mean.

I wonder how much money TM has made in interest with everyone's money? The longer the concerts are delayed, the higher the profit from concert money interest is collected.
