Yes. The sets they played in Lisbon and Barcelona were for festivals, so they are bound to be shorter.

Re: 2006/06/13-14 - Hammersmith, UK - Apollo

looking at the recent concert reviews (last two) the set is still short (about one and half hours) in a concert venue with no support acts, i do hope they add or a song or two as the tour gets going through europe and by the time they reach london we may have a longer set. anyway im up for the wetherspoons meet ill be there.

I ain't got a clue ether. But weatherspoons is a pretty well known place. I'm sure anyone in the area will be able to point it out. Thats how I'll be finding it. ;)

Re: 2006/06/13-14 - Hammersmith, UK - Apollo

I have two standing tickets for the 13th, but it turns out that it would be more convenient for us to go on the 14th - so if anyone has two standing tickets for the 14th and wants to swap, let me know.

Wetherspoons pub is: http://ultimatepubguide.com/pubs/info.phtml?pub_id=3

You have to walk right past it if you are walking from Hammersmith Tube Station to the Apollo

They added one more song last night, and apparently were playing wings in a sound test... so who knows. Hopefully it'll be a longer show unless this entire year is a warmup and they'll play full gigs next year...

i'd be extremely disappointed if the whole gig lasts only one and a half hours...i mean come on, when i saw reel big fish they alone played 1 and a half hours with something like 3 or 4 support bands- if they can do that, i think Tool can put on at least a 2 hour show, be it with just them or with support.

I would LOVE to hear wings- if they got it with all the sound effects as well, can you imagine being in there, in the dark, with the thunder and atmosphere? bloody hell that would be amazing.

And this Brit should be at Wetherspoons on the 14th. What time are people gonna hit it?

This is a complete guess, so don't quote me for truth on this. I have a strong feeling it will be the Deftones as they will be in the country at the same time. I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

Re: 2006/06/13-14 - Hammersmith, UK - Apollo

I think this is BS. OK, so Tool are my favourite band, doesn't mean they can go round mis-selling stuff. The deal is we buy tickets with a support act included. If the support act goes AWOL, do something to cover it, play a longer set, something. Being popular doesn't give you the right to screw over your fans. What next? The follow up to 10,000 Days has 12 tracks on the cover but only contains 3? Buy a tour shirt and find out it has no back on it? Unroll your poster and find it half printed. Yeah, I know they're your favourite band, I know they play once every blue moon, but this isn't reasonable.

Woah, who said there was no support act? Who said they won't play a longer set if this is the case? Don't start whining before you know the facts!

However i am substantially irritated by the lack of information, but meh i' ve come to expect it now.

Re: 2006/06/13-14 - Hammersmith, UK - Apollo

I'd be surprised if they decided to add support just for the British leg, "special relationship" or not. OK, so until I stand there and the support act comes on or not, it's up for grabs, but tell that to the people in Luxembourg who turned up with Isis printed on their ticket and got 80 mins or so, then exit stage left. OK, so I wait to see what happens, but if they DO turn it on for the London and Glasgow gigs, I'd be pissed if I was in Germany...

I agree, it's unlikely i suppose. After all Tool are a band signed to a big big label and i think it's unlikely they can install a support randomly at the drop of a hat.

Changing the subject a little, does anyone think the setlist will change? I'm sure it'll be a great show and i can't wait but it seems a little weak atm :(.

I know it'll never happen but (in an ideal world where tool played me a private show) i'd like to see/hear

Lateralus
Opiate
The grudge
Eulogy
parabol
parabola
Sober
10,000 days
jambi
pushit
the pot
third eye

Somewhere in that order :)

They'll play lateralus, but you missed vicarious. The grudge is doubtful, sober probably will be played, and maybe jambi and the pot. 10,000 days would be awesome, someone heard them trying it at a sound test a week or so ago. London gigs should be awesome and seeing the deftones would be amazing. Imagine that for a support band!

If anyone is coming on the 14th, and you see me, say hi. I'll be the one who's brown with longish black hair and wearing a blue t-shirt saying Renegade. I have an A-level on the day and coursework that I have to do for the next day, but this'll be worth it. :-D See you guys there.

Anyone going to see Tool in London

On Tuesday.. what time are you going to the arena? I've got a standing ticket, and I'm not sure exactly when I should get there.

Also, from the tube station, how long does it take to walk to the Apollo?
