well the wang center is all the theater group... i saw dream theater there and they dont have the past scedule for dt on it... so it must be a seperate group that rents it out.
ill buy tickets even if im not sure its real.
EDIT: on the dreamtheater ticket it says that i went to the orpheum and not the wang center. Judging by pictures its the same place.

think it will be one of those small venue shows that is impossible to get tickets for? if i can't go i'm gonna be a little girl about it and cry.... ok well maybe not but i'll be sad. i'm gonna do phone/online approach, and have my boyfriend do the same.

Front Row Tickets my ass. Been to amny of shows at the Orpheum, and there's no way I would pay $135/ticket(their cheapest) to sit in the back of the balcony for anyone. $415 for 11th row is their closest seat. Keep it, i'll give ticketmaster a try on Saturday, thank you very much.

Alveolate, I just got off the phone with Ticketmaster and the Orpheum - limit of 2 per person. You may have to bring 3 friends...
In other news, I'm a total newb at this whole fighting-for-tix thing, and this tiny venue is going to be sold out in 2 minutes. Can any veterans give me advice on how to get the best seats at box price? Do I camp out at the Orpheum? Do I have a ticket-buying party with lots of computers and phones in one room? I would LOVE LOVE LOVE good seats to this.
edit: I'm getting a bunch of real fans together, either to go camp at the Orpheum or bombard Ticketmaster on Saturday. If we manage to get more tix than we have people, I'll post it in the swap forum.

I have never seen tool live and i know the orpheum is pretty small, so should i try ticketmaster.com saturday moring or go someplace in person to buy the tickets? or have someone go and someone stay home at the computer? i really don't want to get screwed out of seeing the best band ever =/

If you happen to buy more tickets, I am in the category of "need[ing] some", so I would be more than happy to purchase them from you. I have extra Red Sox tix for the Monday night game against the Yankees the night after the concert (5/22) in the Right Field Roof Deck, so I'd be willing to throw those your way, obviously in addition to compensation for the Tooltix.
i live less than a mile from the Orpheum and just went there to see if people were camping out over night and for those of you who are worrying about missing out on tickets....
well STOP, because they are not allowing people to stay overnight nor are they allowing people to start forming lines before 9am tomorrow. instead, they will place everyone who gets there after 9am in a lottery and draw #s for priority sales, and yes ticket limit is two per person.

thats a stupid setup, i think. someone dedicated enough to camp out in the street the night before should definitely get tickets. it kind of defeats the purpose of a line.

Ticketmaster would probably end up cancelling both orders. just stick to the two ticket limit. you can only buy two tickets. they have ways of finding out if you ordered more, and they always do.
