I am still master of my domain. I still have not downloaded the album, despite the physical pain I'm going through at not being able to listen to it and participate in the discussions about it. However, I still feel that the wait is worth it. Its going to be sensory overload on may 2nd for me: first the new album, bought and listened to about a dozen times over and over; then, TooL live at the paramount, my first time seeing them, EVER. I'm pretty sure I won't be the same after that day. So be it. 3 MORE SLEEPS!!!!!!!

I downloaded Vicarious. I fucking love it. Still waiting for the album to come out. Have heard nothing else. Vicarious tells me that the album is very promising.

Still haven't heard anything, except Vicarious, of course. It's quite amazing that the album comes out on the same day as the show. Wicked awesome!!

THANKS GUYS!

I would just like to personally thank the members of the band and the crew for the 'dress rehearsal' show they performed for their friends at a sound stage here in Los Angeles on Tuesday night. Having experienced this, as well as an earlier rehearsal, the set list, sound and visuals should make those fortunate enough to be attending the Coachcella Festival and small venue shows VERY happy.

hopefully you're joking. i really want to see Jambi, Lost Keys/Rosetta Stoned, and Right in Two.

we can always look out for coachella reviews tonight to get a preview of the setlist, though it may change slightly going from festival to small-venue.

even though there will be seats on the floor, are we going to be standing the whole night just because some random dude in the first row wants to stand, thereby inducing the whole main floor to stand? that would be lame.

I read a recent interview (can't remember where, sorry, on this board though) that they were playing the entire album on this mini tour. Does anyone else remember reading this?

I thought they specifically said in an interview they would not play the entire album.

I hope they don't. And I can't remember reading anything like that, but that doesn't mean it wasn't said. I DO remember Danny saying that record sales weren't that big an issue to them, because they think of their records more as promos for their live shows.

No, I do recall them saying they would not play an entire album in one show "they would not wish that apon anyone" i think was their exact wording.

I bought binoculars today, although i'm not going to need them... Guess i'm paranoid.

I'm going to use the cd packaging as binoculars at the show, and leave with the worst headache ever, and no visual memories of what I'd experienced.

Would be cool if you could use the cd packaging goggles(lens?) at the show to enhance it visually.

Yeah no kidding. Stereoscopic video backdrops would be... crazy. But I guess all of the different distances than fans are viewing from would void any possible way to pull it off.

yes everyone.. EVERYone will be standing (to whoever asked) it's not because some ass in the front row wants to stand, it's because you will not enjoy a tool show sitting down. trust me, standing is what it's all about!

To think i'll be in Seattle tomorrow night. I've always wanted to visit Seattle anyways... what an awesome reason to go. I wish I could somehow sneak a few disposable cameras into the venue... take some stereoscopic pics (a la A D A M's myspace)

oh you're in a wheelchair ... last tool concert i went to at a venue like this, everyone stood. if you ask them they may put you somewhere you can see. though i thought the wheelchair points were at the edges of the aisles so you could see when people stood. either way i hope you enjoy the show !!

Re: 2006/05/02 - Seattle, WA - Paramount Theatre

*still looking for someone to go in on horribly overpriced row b tickets with him*

*will front the cash no problem, but doesn't want to have to scalp the second ticket at the door because it will make him feel Very Bad* :(

*is skipping work and driving up from portland*

then again, i guess if anyone actually has an extra ticket, i could avoid the whole mess, but i imagine the likelihood of that request succeeding is about as great as if i were to, oh, say, try and watch the concert through the walls of the venue. o_o;

Re: 2006/05/02 - Seattle, WA - Paramount Theatre

anyone help me out..i've snuck cameras in in the past through metal detectors but they were plastic disposables that didn't cause the beepers to go apeshit...however my pictures never turned out good and i'd like to bring along a digital camera, problem is..the thing is metal. all around. any ideas guys? i'm assuming they'll do metal detectors like they did during the pre-seminal lateralus tour, in which event they turned away people with simple metal jewelry. 'leave it or don't come in'....i hope it won't be that harsh this time around but i'd like a safe sure-fire way to get this camera in. any help would be appreciated, and all pictures will be hosted and shared!
