ive seen "rare" tool songs on p2p sites, like choked, skeptical, comfortably numb, revoloution, and demon cleaner (kyuss cover??)
are any of these actual tool tracks? i heard choked and that doesnt sound like tool to me. the only relation they have to that word is maynards relationship with fans who jump on stage
Choked is a song by Maynard and others (not Tool) on the Flyin' Traps CD.
Revolution is a RATM/Tool track, as stated above.
Tool covered Demon Cleaner several times during their shows in the late 90s.
Skeptical is Earshot. Not Tool.
Comfortably Numb is not a Tool song at all. Tool have never covered that song, as far as I know. All signs indicate that the most common mislabled track is a Gilmour demo track.
cool, flyin traps i guess is an all percussion based cd? looks like tim alexander and josh freese and matt cameron are some of the highlighted players. i might have to pick that one up
dont know why all these incorrect tracks show up on p2p networks. gets really annoying.
some danny carey drum solos have showed up on those, too, but i cant really tell if its danny. doesnt really sound like him and i dont know if he even does solos besides merkaba
Having just listened to the "Comfortably Numb" file I happen to have, that's clearly not Maynard, so yeah, that's probably fake.
The following songs Tool has actually covered, either live or otherwise:
Peach - You Lied (Peach used to open for Tool, and Justin was the bassist for them as well)
Peach - Spasm
Ted Nugent - Stranglehold
Kyuss - Demon Cleaner (IIRC at least a few times they actually had a member of Kyuss on stage with them)
RATM/Tool - Revolution
Ones I'm not sure about:
Rage Against the Machine - Know Your Enemy
The Melvins - Divorced
Also found a new one on their 2007 Tour: Death Lurks - Most Days It's Dark
By the way, what the hell does "Codito, ergo sum" mean? I assume you're intentionally parodying the famous phrase 'Cogito, ergo sum" (meaning "I think, therefore I am) by Descarte, but the closest word I can find to "codito" means "I pickle", and even then, it's "codio".

I'm inclined to think it's a fake Latin word, as I've got a Latin dictionary with over 39,000 words in it, both from Classical and Medieval Latin, and it doesn't have "codito" anywhere in it. The fact that you said it means "I code" enhances my suspicion.
The ludo one is right, though. It's interesting to note, however, that "ludus" means "play", but it also means "school." I guess the Romans liked being educated...

Don't forget Holiday in Cambodia- Dead Kennedys. They played that at the San Francisco show.
Okay, while I am at it, I think this is the full list of songs Tool covered:
Ted Nugent- Stranglehold
Kyuss- Demon Cleanser
Dead Kennedys- Holiday In Cambodia (with Jello Biafra singing)
Peach- You Lied
Peach- Spasm
Ramones- Commando (as a tribute to (at the time) deceased members of Ramones)
Led Zeppelin- No Quarter
Kids In The Hall/Death Lurks- Some Days It's Dark
Songs Tool worked with other bands:
(You Can't Kill A) Revolution- RATM/Tool
Know Your Enemy- RATM (Maynard would sing the break; Danny would jam with Brad)
Passenger- Deftones (I am not sure if it's just Maynard singing or if the whole band is there; I need some clarification).
Feel free to add to the list, I am sure I probably missed some.

"Silly lovesongs" by The Replicants (Wings cover) features MJK on main vocals as well. Also the Kiss cover "Dr. Love" is frequently mistaken for a Tool song. It is MJK with the collective named Shandi's Addiction.
anywho some other oddities include "Santa Monica and Orange", off of the album "here's to the losers", which features maynard's vocals ( i don't know who the album artist is though),
"Ass Kickin' Fat Kid" performed by "Titannica", featuring Maynard as well, ( i don't know if this is one of those cover-up names such as "Shandi's Addiction", which is actually memebers of Tool and RATM), which reminds me, in '94 on an episode of headbangers' ball RATM performed Know Your Enemy, in which Danny hopped on a drumset during Maynard's part, and i believe he continued playing for the rest of the song. that's all i can think of to add to the list for now though.
edit: oops, i see someone mentioned danny jamming with Brad already, my mistake, cool video though, look it up.
