Yea it sux,and just my luck my tickets showed up in the mail today..........joy......
what about tickets that were will call,i wonder if they will still be in the system......6 months from now
11 of my 13 tickets (all through TM) arrived today as well...These are the same tickets they couldnt exchange for me because they SUPPOSEDLY shipped Saturday the 17th. If that was true it took 5 days for the mail to deliver from OKC to Tulsa...Im over $900 invested after being screwed by TM already. I was (still am) hoping it would be just a few weeks delayed.
I hope Dannys alright, but this SUCKS.

God dammit. You know they are gonna push this show back at least like 6 months. Or with my luck, they'll have it in June while I'm in fucking India. Mother fucker this pisses me off. Oh well, I hope Danny heals up and gets to feeling better soon. Never good for a drummer to screw up an arm... especially a really fucking good drummer.
a torn bicep usually takes at least 2 months to heal. i don't know how bad the injury was, so it may take longer than that. think they will be doing it during the summer?

Who knows? I just hope that Danny recovers so that he can continue to make music--even if it takes a yaer. To be honest, I really feel bad for the kid that's going to Hawaii and the guy headed to India. I mean c'mon, their lives must just be horrible. Let's take up a donation

am I the only one who finds it painful to listen to any Tool albums right now. Its too much to take. :)
esecially a live album!
I've been loving live tool all day. But then again, I had stopped listening to them about a week ago in prep for the show, as an experimental thing but end of experiment.
hey go to ticketmaster NOW there is section 114 row A and floor 5 row G
available! since the tickets will be honored thats quite a deal!
i had to hold myself back from getting them since I got 4 tickets already.
yeah gotta look on the bright side of things...the band can recouperate from all the touring and get time to think. maynard will prob just go step on grapes tho :)
yup. i was thinking this happened for a reason. tool seemed to be getting a bit too routine. now with 3-4 months or so, they will be back stronger than ever.
Sup Fellows. This is my newbie post, but after hearing the news about Danny Carey and the OKC show being postponed I just had to make an account and post my 2 cents.
So, me and 3 buddies had bought 4 nose bleed tix on day one online. We book a sweet hotel and plan on driving down and making a big fucking deal of it. We start stock piling the weed, booze, and other assorted goodies. For some odd reason I get compelled to check out the TOOLBAND website (which I never had before) and blam on the news page I found out about the postponed tour.
Words cannot describe how dissapointed we were and are. I REALLY hope they can come back to OKC before the summer is over. As the 5 week wait was already agonizing and now it could be 6 months...
No real point to this, just damn. This was to be my first concert in years and my first Tool concert period. We are out of East Tulsa, so its like a 2 hour drive. Whenever the concert DOES happen, I know it will be even sweeter...even if the wait sucks cock now.
PS: Now Ticketmaster has floor seats available, I'm wondering if I should try to trade in my nosebleeds for better. Any experiences with refunds/exchanges???
I at least want to have an official ETA on the recovery process... I wanna know if I should refund my tickets or wait it out...
I hope to hear something official soon. I really don't care how long I have to wait...When they come I AM GOING. And its already been said on ticketmaster that the tickets will be honored at the re-scheduled show. I just hope they don't flat out cancel the Ford Center date. That would be horrible.
Well, it does say that they still will be playing at bonnaroo, which is june 14th through the 17th, so by at least june he should be playing again. the question is, are they going to start the tour anytime before the festival, or will they start after it?

gotta be honest it pains me to listen to them... i usually quit listening also about a month before the show just so i can be really really wanna hear the guys... but now when i listen it just is kinda disappointing ok really fucking disappointing.... it was going to be my best birthday ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ha ha
Hey guys when this show does happen lets all get together at a bar or something and just get extremely fucked up and have the best time ever at the concert... it will be my second tool show so i am still kinda a virgin when it comes to seeing tool live... but i think it would be cool for all of us to meet up drink some beer smoke some blunts and have an awesome time...

sorry, didn't mean to put up my post twice, speaking of live Tool music, check out this website
http://distortiononline.com/content/index2.html
it has a bunch of live tool stuff, excellent quality. click the red button on the remote in the bottom right corner, go to multimedia, then audio, and enjoy!
When the concert does happen, I'm taking like 20 joints and pass them around the crowd. Anybody had trouble with weed smoking in the Ford Center? I've heard its pretty lax.
yes we all shall meet up before and after the show and get ripped. ive seem some people get kicked out for smoking before there but just wait for the lights to go down then pass around :)
I guess this officially means that if they ever actually play this show, it will NOT using the half-house setup. I just got 2 more tickets in the third row of SECTION 114.
BUT, I will not be going if the new date is later than August.

If there's going to be a meet-up before the show I'm in! We should decide on a bar or general area to meet up and drink/smoke. I might have to find K7's ass during the show if he's gonna bring 20 joints! Haha. Anyway, the business about smoking in the arena.. I've been to a few shows at the Ford Center, and I've smoked at every one of them. However, on two different occassions I've seen people get caught in the seats, and get the shit beat of them by security before being dragged off to be arrested by police waiting outside. This is no joke. Just be careful and use common sense, but don't be surprised if three people beat the fuck out of you with sticks and then hog tie you with zip-ties and carry you out of the show. I've seen it happen with my own eyes. If anyone was at the 2001 OKC show you might remember people making "freedom runs" down the aisles to break through/jump over the floor barriers. I would love to see this happen again, haha!
EDIT: P.S. This whole business about new GREAT sections like 114 going on sale is complete bullshit. I'm writing TicketMaster off forever, fuck those guys. If the same shit goes down for the next round of Tool (2009-2010?), I might possibly say fuck those guys as well. Harsh realities from a tired consumer of Tool's product.
So, there is no opening act correct? Just 2-3 hours of pure TOOL. I read somewhere that when they DO get back to the tour, they're gonna have an updated visual show with more CGI and lights and what not to help make up for the delay. So the show we see could be alot differant than the first leg of the 10K tour.
Whats up guys... hey i was just thinking about this but concerts on march 29 at the ford center have been 0 for 2 i think it was last year when aerosmith was scheduled to play but steven tyler had to cancel for some reason cant remember why but i know the show got canceled... i dont think they made it up i may be wrong though
Yup.. was at the Ford Center last night and on the info thing it had "Tool - Mar. 29 - POSTPONED" as if I needed a reminder. They finally come back to the hometown, and this happens. :(
Ticketmaster freakin sucks!!! I could get Sec. 114 or 107 Row A for six seats together on Saturday...Ive already bought 13 tickets because better seats showed up the Saturday before in 223. This is complete BS...
Why would the best seats be saved to go onsale 2 weeks after they originally went on sale and after its been postponed???
who knows? I do know I saw Nine Inch Nails in section 114. While you might THINK they are the best seats, they are not. It was so far over on the stage you could see behind the curtains and all that.
hehe at least can't go wrong with this show. Just to be safe, I got two TA presales, two seats in 116, and just got two more in 115 B
So I can pick and choose. IF the TA's are Floor section 2 than ill give the other remaining two to some friends.
I just have a feeling this might be the last time I get to see Tool live play here. So thats about $380 total. Not to bad considering they are all premium seats for the best live band. You would pay that for two seats or one for Pink Floyd!
Ticketmaster does suck. I tried like hell to get 4 floor seats the day they went on sale, but ended up with nosebleeds. Now I could get 4 seats right in section 6...and my tickets just arrived in the mail. None of my buddies wanna go through the hassle of exchanging/selling for the better seats. Oh well, I guess I should just be thankful I get to go. When they do make up the date that is! :(
