I was thinking about Aenima and how it ended on a somewhat more subtle note than it started, as did Undertow, as did Opiate, as did Lateralus. So I decided to switch around the order of songs on 10,000 Days with a similar concept. Tell me what you think.

1 - Vicarious
2 - The Pot
3 - Jambi
4 - Lipan Conjuring
5 - Lost Keys
6 - Rosetta Stoned
7 - Intension
8 - Right in Two
9 - Vigniti Tres
10 - Wings for Marie, Pt. I
11 - 10,000 Days (Wings, Pt. II)

Just to clarify, I found that 10,000 Days was a better finish, with the last line being "It's time for you to bring me home". Also, I chose to use the 'filler' on the album as seques, a la Aenima. As I found Vigniti Tres to be filler, I chose to use it as a seque into the Wings series.

Try playing it this way, and give me some feedback.

i dunno if i like the actual album order, i think vignit tres should go before intension. The album is sooo good but i think if they had done that, then it would be perfect. There's so much good music, but then it just ends with "UUUUHHHHHHNNNHHHHNHHHHHHH". And, there's totally nothing wrong with "UUUUHHHHHHNNNHHHHNHHHHHHH," but it's a bad way to end the album. Faaip was different because it was actually interesting with some good content to it and closed out really nicely. But this one just kinda goes "UUUUHHHHHHNNNHHHHNHHHHHHH".

"UUUUHHHHHHNNNHHHHNHHHHHHH!!"

Not to mention that LK/RS is such a badass way to start an album. Of course, since the song actually has a story of sorts, if they put it as the first two tracks, people would probably make the assumption that it's a concept album. You know what I mean?

3. Lipan Conjuring
4. The Pot
5. Jambi
6. Vicarious

I Honestly Prefer the Way Tool Ordered It...

I Like How It Startz Out Hard With Vicarious and Jambi, Then Becomez More Somber With Wingz Pt 1, Jumpz With Wingz Pt 2 and The Pot, Seguez In 2 Lipan Conjuring, and Iz Melodic Throughout the Rest of the Album...

Itz Alwayz Interstin 2 Come Up With Yr Own Song Order, But I Juzt Like the Way Tool Did It Thiz Time Around...

While I love the current order of the actual disc, one I found interesting (and which I did burn & used to listen to prior to purchasing the actual disc), goes as follows:

>Wings for Marie
>Jambi
>Lipan Conjuring
>The Pot
>Intension
>Right in Two
>Vicarious
>Lost Keys (Blame Hofmann)
>Rosetta Stoned
>10,000 Days
>Viginti Tres

I found that starting the album with Wings(pt1) allowed for a much smoother 'building' into the disc itself, and also that splitting the entire song ('right in two', heh), by starting with pt.1 and ending with pt.2, gave the album a more 'complete' feel, by bringing back a similar structure & emotion towards the end. Also, I enjoyed having Vicarious about half way through, as it's somewhat more of an easier song to just play and understand, and it gave the album a steadiness and helped me reach a middle-ground around the middle of the album :P. Oh, and Lipan Conjuring really warms me up well for The Pot. I mean, it's not an entirely smooth transaction, but both songs sort of build a similar emotion for me, and I thought these two "stand-out tracks", if you will, actually fit quite well together :).

Anywho. Just my 2-cents. Enjoy listening and discovering :)

I agree.

However, because of the sheer beauty of the unknown in Rosetta Stoned, I submit the only alternative considerable for me.

1. Vicarious
2. Jambi
3. Wings for Marie
4. 10,000 Days
5. The Pot
6. Lipan Conjuring
7. Intension
8. Right in Two
9. Lost Keys (I)
10. Rosetta Stoned (II)
11. Viginti Tres (III)

Your really annoying to read.

i like the order. Its nice to finish with intention, right in two and viginti tres, it means i can leave it on while sleeping and have some more awesome dreams.
